Ok but needs a lot of work
December 29, 2022While the complex needs updating and more attention to fixing things My time here overall was good I would say 35 stars Biggest issues for me where the random people knocking on doors at weird hours and the occasional issue with roaches which while pest control was present didnt seem to work as well I had no issue with the management team or maintenance The management company did the best they could Real issue is the owners not wanting to maintain the place and spend the money to maintainReview from Apartments.com
Should be condemned
June 17, 2022crime, drugs, homeless, property damage, squatters and all around horrible place. This property charges water, sewer, trash, pest control and whatever extra cash the manager may need for other frivolous charges. Mice, bedbugs and cockroaches. Not a place for decent, hard working people.Review from Apartments.com
This Place is Not What is Seems
November 3, 2021It seems that the reviews for this location are very dated. While the view may be decent, it cannot overlook the arguably poor management and arguably lack of care for the facility in general. The parking lots are in disarray, with concrete crumbling and hardly any rational locations to park. The apartment complex is scattered with boarded-up windows and vagrants wandering the area at all times of the hour; the lawn is unkempt with some sidewalks being virtually inaccessible to traverse. ...Likewise, there was never any mention that the facility was smoke friendly, as when I entered my apartment, I was greeted with the rancorous odor of stale cigarettes and cigarette butts lying right next to my door. I will be frank, I really do not have anything good to say about this property. I would also prose any potential leasees to look into the crime that persists within the surrounding area of the facility. While I cannot say that this place isn't for anyone, I would offer that any rational individual who cares for their safety, property, and sanity look elsewhere for affordable housing. The view isn't everything.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Apt with a view!!
September 23, 2015I love the view from my apartment! I can see downtown Des Moines from my windows and also the state capitol and other great sites! I like the openness of my apartment, it makes it feel much bigger in the way it is layed out and it is a short commute to my work.Review from Apartments.com
City Hights
August 19, 2015After much searching I found City Heights Apartments. Its location fits my needs perfectly. Im in walking distance of my church and the central bus station . The apartments are located on a hill which looks out over downtown which is gorgious with.lights at night as well as the fireworks from Sec Taylor Stadium just off downtown. Even the golden dome of The Capital building is visable over the huge oak trees that surround the apartment building. Greys Lake is also in walking distance along ...with its bike trails and yoga in the parks attractions. I really truely adore my apartment and think of it as "home" not just a rental property.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
