Tenants beware! This place is terrible!

Do not move here.
January 22, 2021Horrible horrible place to be. We were here for a year and couldn’t wait for our lease to be up. You hear everything, the stove handle would consistently fall off and they changed management 3 times in one year. Downtown living wasn’t for me either so on top of being downtown and hearing everything on the street I had the pleasure of hearing the people below us CRYSTAL CLEAR. and they would come spray the apartment but were invested with spiders all summer and spring. And they weren’t just baby ...spiders they were some scary sized ones. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible management, amenities are a lie, parking is atrocious.
February 19, 2020Just do not rent here. I live here currently and have zero idea how I'm supposed to get ahold of *anyone*. I've tried to email, call, leave work orders like requested, and *nothing.* Just literally no response. Emails have even started returning as "can't deliver to address." I've even tried to call the company that owns the property, and it's a voicemail that will never return your call. Management has officially dropped to part time(!), after changing twice already over the last 6mos. ...Maintenance keeps switching as well. I have no idea how someone would be able to sign up to rent, as I have no idea what hours the management is even here to take potential renters. The hot tub they still list as an amenity has been broken the *entire* time that I've lived here, I don't know what that other review is talking about...they're just straight up lying. Everything in the apartment (counters, cabinets, closets, paint) are the absolute cheapest possible quality and look terrible in person. The counters are literally MDF with a photo of granite overlaid on top. Also, good luck trying to get a parking spot at night. This is the worst place I have ever lived. Cannot recommend it less.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nice Apartments
March 24, 2019I've been a resident in City Market Lofts for over a year now. The management has always been friendly and addressed any maintenance issues we had in a timely manner. Previous ratings indicate poor management and maybe that was the case in the past, I can't speak for that, but while I have been here the past year management has been great. The elevator has never broken down. Parking has never been an issue other than events like Get Downtown and non-residents disregard the no parking policy. The ...hot tub has broken down a few times but not for long. I know for a fact that the hot tub is treated every Thursday. The only real issue I had was the single pane windows condensate in the winter on very cold days and if you allow the condensation to set for many days, it can cause mold. I brought up the issue to management and was told to run the fans during those days to try and help with the condensation. That was the only real issue that I've had. There is a good spot to take your dogs if you have them behind the lofts. Neighbors have been friendly and no one is very loud. Overall I have enjoyed living here and would recommend to others.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Horrible Management
September 11, 2018Tenants come and go frequently ... probably after they realize that everything breaks and takes an eternity for maintenance. Last summer the AC went out for days and this past winter we froze for two weeks without heat. Yes, that’s right. WITHOUT HEAT in January and this company made no attempts to speed the remedy. Instead, we incurred several hundred dollars in electricity charges because the heat was constantly attempting to run. The stove died and it was weeks before we received a new ...one. This week, the elevators are not working for the second time in two weeks after being fixed once. Look SOMEWHERE else. The rooftop hot tub is a joke. It barely never works and the patio area with the grills is always filthy. This place is falling apart and clearly the owners have no money or interest in repairing. The allure of downtown is not worth it. Pay less somewhere else and drive downtown (IF you can find parking).Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Just don’t do it.
August 2, 2017So I lived here roughly for 1.5 years while living in Lynchburg. It was an awful experience. I’ll give it some credit when it comes to the designs of some of lofts but that’s it. The company who owns this property are awful. When living there they enticed us with a hot tub and things like a parking lot. It took 9 months to get the hot tub. You can never get a spot in the lit after a certain time because of the police academy residents living there. The elevator breaks every year, recently it ...broke down for at least a month. The apartment had a major spider problem. Just avoid the lower cost living here and look for something else.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
