Horrible Experience – Poor Living Conditions
May 30, 2025I moved into City View on December 23, 2024, and resided in Building 307, Unit 3A. During my time there, I experienced ongoing issues with roaches and pet allergens. Although I do not own a pet, the apartment was covered in pet hair upon move-in. My child has allergies to cat hair, dog hair, and roaches, which made these conditions especially concerning. Despite raising these issues with management, roach sightings continued repeatedly throughout our stay. To clarify, just because an apartment ...is pet-friendly doesn’t mean pet hair should be left behind. I’ve always lived in pet-friendly apartments and could never tell whether the previous resident had a pet or not. For it to cause health concerns for my child, the amount of hair must have been excessive—and in this case, it absolutely was. I even purchased a pet-specific vacuum, but it still couldn’t remove all the hair. My carpet was professionally cleaned twice through a company contracted by City View, yet pet hair remained throughout the apartment. The complex uses Terminix for pest control, but the roach problem persisted. The first time I saw a roach, I went to the leasing office the very next business day. I spoke with Crystal, the property manager, and showed her a photo I had taken. She looked at it and said, “That’s an American roach, which is common in apartments.” I’ve never had roaches in any home I’ve lived in, and I didn’t even know there were different types until I moved here. Overall, my experience at City View was horrible from day one. I moved out today 5/30/2025Property Manager Responded

Great but many hidden fees
March 4, 2025I've lived here for 2 years and absolutely love the area. It's typically a quiet complex and convenient to the downtown area. My only issues are the various outside fees. Despite the reasonable base rent many things are not included. This being washer & dryer that is issued by a 3rd party. Internet and utilities are not included, but water is. This drove my $1,105 base rent to $1,300 and once $1,500. The payment portal also will have you pay an additional $39 to process your rent. I did have few ...issues with bugs (on 1st floor), but used my own mitigation tactics. It's a great place and the people are pretty to themselves and your out the way from the busy downtown life. Amazing place to live
December 1, 2024I lived at CityView for more than two years and I enjoyed every moment of it. Besides the amenities and great location, the management team is amazing. Crystal, Cristina and Sara are very professional and work hard to ensure tenants feel at home. Stay Away and Look Outside the City
June 29, 2024From my first visit touring the facility (15 months ago), I thought the model apartment would closely resemble the one I was supposed to move into. It did not look at like the model. The floor and furniture were terrible. The floor was damaged and discolored. The dishwasher did not work properly and I was later told by the maintenance staff that it would not be replaced unless it completely stopped working. The furniture was worn down and damaged (probably due to the previous resident's ...pet). The office would not replace the damaged furniture. This does not include the termite issue I was dealing with for a month.Property Manager Responded

Can't Wait to Leave
November 21, 2023This place is not what it appears to be when you visit/tour the models. When I moved in the floor was dingy, dark and discolored. The furniture (e.g. cabinets, doors, blinds) was old and it seemed like it was chewed on by an animal (possibly dog). When I asked to have it replaced, the maintenance staff either painted over or sanded the damaged areas. The electrical wiring doesn't make any sense. The ceiling lighting in the living room only provides light for the kitchen not the whole living room. ...For example a light switch in the bedroom only works in the bathroom. Closet space in the bedroom has no doors. I have had my car broken into twice and the facility has no cameras. Despite warnings from management, dog owners continue to let their pets poop on your door step. I can't wait to leave!Property Manager Responded

Roaches
September 20, 2023Everyday I would have to wake up and kill at least one roach. I would also add that I kept my apartment very clean and bought roach traps to try to help. I was also one the third floor so I cannot even fathom what is was like on the first. The staff is disorganized and borderline illiterate, maintenance is iffy at best, and overall this is not a nice place to live. DON'T SIGN!!!
January 7, 2023If you read the contract you wouldn't sign. They have, in my view, breached the contract in multiple ways. 1. My back door/only window does not open anymore which is a fire hazard. 2. Their pipes burst and flood my apartment multiple times. When I complain that I'm treated unfairly, they reply, "It's not our problem." Disgusting 3. Their valet trash service is trash. They require garbage to be in a tied off bag, which doesn't say that in the contract. All the big boxes you need to dispose ...of isn't possible unless you find a dumpster nearby. All in all, do not sign to live here. Worst decision I've ever made in my entire life and I jumped into a lake and broke my neck, so I know a few things about bad decisions. Pretty Good, Would be willing to go cheaper though

Problems in "Paradise"
March 5, 2021I'm torn. There are some good things about this place, and I haven't had a horrible experience, but I want to mention the things that have dropped this review from 5 to 2. 1. They charge high rates (35/month) for "valet trash service". This is a non-optional service. I would MUCH rather take it down one flight of stairs to the dumpster myself, but that is not an option. That wouldn't even be an issue if they actually performed the service. I have followed their rules to the letter, and they ...routinely refuse to pick up my trash and then send me a generic email "reminding" me of the rules even though I have followed all of them. I have talked to the office staff several times, but they are either unable or unwilling to do anything about it. 2. They have twice brought in a huge dumpster, parked it in the middle of the parking lot and then let it slowly fill up with trash....Over Christmas, it was there for weeks. This last time, it was there for a little over a week. Additionally, the trash piles up in a mountain every weekend in front of the regular dumpster to the point you can't even get to the trash compactor. It is disgusting! 3. In September, I had signed up to rent a washer/dryer through the complex, but I was told it would be more than a month before I could expect it to be delivered/installed. I got home from work one day and found that maintenance had been in my apartment to install them with NO warning/notice. I felt absolutely violated in my own space. Later on I got an email from the office telling me that my wait time was still several weeks even though they had already been installed. In fairness to the office, they did apologize and give me a month off the washer/dryer rent. 4. When I first got here, the office took weeks to give me my mailbox key. I kept coming back to check every time they gave me a new estimate and they kept procrastinating. I eventually had to talk to the manager who resolved the issue swiftly. All of those issues have contributed to why I am writing this review. That being said, I want to be fair and say that the manager is very nice and she does what she can. Logan in the leasing office is also excellent. Maintenance is generally quick to respond to issues, and the apartment itself is nice. I don't know if other people are having the same issues I am, but I definitely felt that I needed to write up this review.Property Manager Responded

Would not recommend
February 5, 2021I had multiple really bad experiences here. Things stolen, not let into the mail room by a resident, unauthorized people walking into my apartment.
