Don't rent
March 10, 2018Beware of people smoking pot and doing drugs inside the building and the laundry room. no cameras in or outside and high electric bills ridiculous..don't live there ...Review from Apartments.com
Great place
November 6, 2017Hello there! This is a great place to move to. The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious and the property is always well kept. When my in-laws came to visit us, they felt like they were staying in a hotel! Maintenance came right away, although the issues were minor and they were friendly. Amazing location, everything is close by, eateries, multiple plazas, major grocery stores etc...Everything is walking distance if you exercise if not, it's a very short drive. I definitely recommend this place to ...anyone. Good luck!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Do not move here!
July 30, 2017This place is a nightmare! Cons: -EXTREME ($500 ) Electric bills. Everything in the apt is electric and the windows are VERY drafty. You WILL be freezing in the winter, even with the heat on high. -Hallways and elevators are very old and smell VERY VERY MOLDY at all times. Caused me to get several sinus infections while living here. -They advertise having a pool, but the pool is really owned by the housing development next door. You need to PAY to get a membership and to get a membership, you ...have to deal with a VERY RUDE woman. -Maintenance "band-aids" your maintenance issues, instead of actually fixing or replacing them. Example: My garbage disposal had been clogged 3 different times. Maintenance came to fix it each time, but instead of replacing the disposal that keeps breaking, they keep leaving me with a plug in the sink- basically saying not to put food down there. Not sure why they think it's okay for a tenant to be living in an apartment that advertises having garbage disposals even though they don't actually work? -Previous tenant in my particular apt had a pet that peed on the rugs. Instead of replacing the rugs or bleaching the cement underneath the rugs, maintenance just shampooed several times. The smell never went away, so I invested in several candle wax warmers. -The women that work in the leasing office are very unintelligent. They are always confused and never know what they are talking about and I'm not sure how they got their jobs.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Do not live here!!
June 22, 2017So these are the original 40 year old windows which leak and allow cold air in.. There are rodents in halls and basements. The owner put an illegal gym that is not up code in to halt complaining. Several units were also infested with bedbugs recently.Review from Apartments.com
ok but not the best
June 6, 2017The place is nice, people are nice & pretty quiet, but... Safety & security is not always up to par - main doors to lobby have locks, but are propped open a lot. Outside doors to stairwells have no lock & anyone can walk in & have access to apartment floors. When I first moved in, there were spot lights on the side of the building, as well as pole lights, that lit up the parking lot, but the spot lights have not worked in a couple of years. Laundry room is always dirty, & there is rarely a ...time when all machines are working. This makes it frustrating being as though there are only 3 washers & dryers, but 60 apartments in the building.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Stay away, look else where
March 1, 2017I do not suggest living here at all. While the place is cheap when it comes to rent, you get what you pay for. Added the $600-700 utility bills for the winter months, it's not worth it. Mind you my wife and I are never home, we work 11 hours a day each so no idea how the bills were so high when we didn't have the TV on, the computer on, etc. The elevators constantly break, I've had multiple problems with the heater and air conditioner. Noise is a constant issue, though that could just be ...my luck with neighbors. They have a clause in the contract in regards to noise but don't do anything about it no matter how many times you complain about the same people, and even after having police involved. The washers break/flood regularly, they'll fix it eventually. I regret moving in, and happy to be moving out asap.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don't be fooled by the reasonable rental rate
July 11, 2016The apartment we rented was nice but beware of the high electric bill and security flaws. We paid on average about $700 a month for electric during the winter months. We left the thermostat at 65 when we were in the apartment but it was really cold. There was a significant draft and only electric heat. The apartment wasn't even lived in for half the winter months and we had it turned all the way down as low as it could go. The hallways do not seem to be heated, so it seems to me the burden of ...heating the building falls on the tenants. The hall ways were freezing cold. So, you have heat escaping through both sides of the apartment. They also do not cool the building, so cooling the building seems to fall on tenants as well. The internet and tv was provided by comcast but the internet speed was really slow. That usually occurs in older buildings because they don't want to pay for upgraded lines. There is a ventilation fan that runs constantly inside the apartment and you can't turn it off, but I guess we got used to it. Not sure who pays for that fan to be running all the time, but I'm guessing that they probably tied that into the tenants electric bill as well. The carpets are clean and new but that's because one of the maintenance guys told me that they charge you to replace the whole carpet if you have any stains or marks on it when you move out. So, not just replace the bedroom, but the whole apartment! The bathrooms are older but they painted the tiles and tub to make it look newer. The elevators are older but they recently did an appearance upgrade in the lobby and the elevators. But it's like giving an old car a fresh coat of paint, but the car is still old. There seems to be no cameras and security is relying on people not letting other people in through the main door. There are no cameras in the elevators and I felt weird being in the elevator alone with a young girl without the protection of cameras. These days, you can't be too careful and I definitely don't want my daughter in an elevator with some stranger, nor do you want anyone accusing you of doing anything inappropriate and have nothing but your word against theirs. Many times, the back doors are propped open and people can come in and out of the building as they please. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I would not rent here agin.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Tour!
March 2, 2016My friend and I were interested in one of the apartments here and took a tour of Claremont Towers with Justin. He was very genuine and friendly during our tour and was upfront and honest when we asked him our questions. He seemed like he truly wanted us to find the right place to call home. I felt very informed after our visit and am very happy he was the one to show us around the building and apartment. Thanks Justin!Review from Apartments.com
Highest Utility Bills I've Ever Paid!
November 3, 2015Renter's beware! The apartment is nicely nestled in Hillsborough and provides great convenience to local shopping, schools, and highways. The apartments are spacious and feature fantastic large windows and quaint balconies. However, expect to pay half your rent to the local electric company! The utility bills in the Winter will drain your bank account and your apartment still won't be warm! I spent hundreds of dollars trying to winterproof my 1BR unit and got no where. The staff is well aware of ...the problem but will not help you with this well known problem. Ask other people you see before renting here!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

My beautiful home
September 27, 2015Beautiful view overseeing the land of Hillsborough. An aquiant, quite, place. short distance from heart of hillsborough. Many places to eat, and dine. Small stores to get what you need. This is my 2nd apartment and unlike my last, its a perfect place to call home.Review from Apartments.com
