April 24, 2020My family and I moved here about 2 months ago and we love it! Gabby was VERY helpful from the application process till now. Any questions we had she answered right away and was very knowledgeable. She treats my family like her own and makes everybody feel welcomed and at home. Raul the maintenance guy is great too! Always willing to help in a heartbeat anytime we have had any issues Raul and gabby took care of it asap. The property is always really well maintained and is kept clean. November 27, 2019I enjoy living at Covina Palmas apartments. Spacious rooms, 1 bedrooms are humongous!! I use to live here in 2015 for about 6 yrs. Came back to the community love how everything is close in walking distance/schools too. Would recommend anyone to this community. November 13, 2019This is my first apartment and I been here for about 8 months now I couldn't be happier with Covina palms! In the beginning Gabriela made sure the whole leasing process went smoothly for me, she went beyond her duties and worked around my schedule. I've always been pleased and impressed how the grounds, pool, and laundromat are ALWAYS kept clean and how prompt they are with any repairs I need. Leased for a year in 2016
April 18, 2019My husband and I leased a 1 bedroom apartment here back in 2016. Not sure how it is now, but when we're living here, the apartments were roach infested. We didn't appreciate the fact that the property manager told us about the roaches until after the fact we had signed the lease agreement so we wouldn't change our minds. We knew right away we'd only be staying here for the year term. Even though the apartment was super spacious and affordable, it wasn't worth staying.Property Manager Responded

Run Down Old Building
March 22, 2019This old building really needs some repairs and upgrades. They need new management who is not too cheap to fix issues the right way with professional workers, not just some guy standing in front of Home Depot. There is no insulation and the windows are very old, so you can run an A/C all day and it is still hot AF. This past summer was miserable. Then I asked for help and the manager (Gabriella) walked in and lied and said that it feels nice and cool even though it's 80+ degrees inside and the ...A/C has been running all day. Some of the units even have Swamp Coolers! I didn't know that those still existed. If you live here, you should factor in the price of portable A/C units in every room and an additional $100 per month on the electricity bill. The A/C unit in the wall isn't even powerful enough to cool one bedroom. I'm currently running that provided A/C and my portable A/C in the same room and it's still at 75 degrees indoors. It's only March and I'm eager to move out because of this heat. To make it worse, the manager isn't quick to fix anything. Last summer, my A/C completely quit working and they waited over a week to replace it. It was 100+ degrees out and she left me with Nothing! They said that they were looking for an A/C unit... I'm sure they were just looking for something cheap. They only replaced it after over a week because I mentioned my daughter's special needs. If not for that, it would've taken a month. Also, the central heat is older than me (and I'm not young) and isn't being maintained. During the winter, you'll need extra blankets and a space heater. I asked for a repair on that and when a guy showed up to fix it, he was driving a minivan (not a professional truck) and had to borrow a shopvac from the apartment manager to suck out years of dirt from the unit. While he was doing that, he blew out so much dust that my smoke alarm went off. They were able to get the piece of junk running, but my main bedroom gets none of the heat. Another issue I've had is the paint and squeaking floors. When they have a vacant unit, they fix it up within a day with cheap paint and glaze over some beat up counter tops. The cheap paint can be pealed off the walls by hand and the glaze still shows scratches on surfaces from a previous resident. The floors squeak with every step and they haven't addressed that. The place sounds like a 100 year old house with these shotty floors. And, the pools are only open 3 months during the summer.Property Manager Responded

We care deeply for each and every one of our residents and we work hard to ensure everyone is having a comfortable experience in our community. Our team has done our best to assist you, including but not limited to making sure you received your new A/C unit, we've also looked into all the work orders you have submitted and they have all be taken care of in a timely manner by our professional maintenance team or a professional vendor such as when we promptly repaired your furnace. Now with that being said, we are happy to look into concerns regarding pests or broken appliances for anyone who makes us aware of said concerns. Regarding our laundry room, residents enjoy the convenience of having such a large laundry room onsite with many automated laundry machines at their disposal. The laundry machines do get a lot of usage at our community and there ...will be a machine down from time to time, for this, we have a professional laundry repair company that services them as needed. Regarding our seasonal pools, they are serviced twice a week - year-round by a professional pool service company, whether they are being used or not. We take pride in our community and we want our residents to have a nice view from their apartment homes at all times. We pride ourselves on our prompt customer service, our curb appeal, our sparkling pools, and our landscape. If you would like to discuss anything, our door is always open. Thank you.
