Amazing Pacific Hieghts Apartment
July 31, 2015I really can't say enough positive things about this apartment: amazing location, doorman, parking included, walking distance to lafayetter park, Polk street, Marina or Fillmore, great lighting with big windows and views of Lafayette park and the bay from the 7th floor. Only caveats are it is an older Victorian building with a slow elevator, old radiators that can be loud at times and no installed lighting in the bedroom or living room. GREAT Building - Very Well Kept; Great Mgr; Great Doormen
July 25, 2015I've lived in the building for 12 years and have been extremely happy. It was constructed in 1923 and was very well built. I never hear my neighbors. The building may appear ordinary from the outside, but the building has great character. The lobby is beautiful. The elevators are made of wood and are original to the building - they are really cool. The apartments are spacious and have great old doors and beautful molding. Anytime I have a maintenance issue it's addressed immediately. The ...property manager and maintenance person is great. There are doorman on site from 8am to midnight Monday through Friday, and the doormen are really friendly and helpful. There are security cameras in multiple places inside the building, which are monitored. Tenants are given a key to store their bikes in a large "bike room" in the basement, and there's plenty of room for additional bikes. It's a nonsmoking building, which the property manager enforces. The only negative thing I can think of is that they need more washers and dryers, as they are often none available on the weekends. Also, there is no air conditioning and it does get hot in the units sometimes, though opening the windows helps. Finally, I must confess I have seen 2 mice in the basement and have been told one tenant found a mouse in her unit.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
