Walk to the BEACH!
August 18, 2015Small community of only 22 units, no amenities except a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers. There is an onsite manager. The building is gated and entrance is a locked door requiring a code. Overall, it's pretty quiet except for late night sirens that go with urban living. The biggest negative is downtown parking. You literally cannot move your car at all if you want to keep a parking space. There is a parkng lot for rent across the street, but he wants $150 a month. It's always empty, so I ...guess people rather drive around for 45 minutes looking for free parking. The best part of living downtown is being able to walk most places. The beach is literally across the street and down the stairs. The Pike with restaurants and shopping is less than a mile away. Banks, grocery stores and some fast food are within walking distance. I have left my car parked until street sweeping day which is Tues/Weds. The bus stop is just feet away also. Overall, downtown living is awesome. Back to the apt building. Studio apartments about 450 sq ft, but feels roomier than most studios. Some units are renovated with stainless steel appliances, wood floors.
