Not a great experience
September 12, 2019Moving in: The newly renovated apartment had yet to be cleaned. Real, actual piles of dirt lay on the floor along with nails, dry wall, and tools (someones tools were sitting on the floor). The appliances did not fit into their spaces. The dishwasher door budged up against the refrigerator and the water flowed brown. "Welcome to your new home! Just sit outside with your moving truck, block traffic, and wait for us to clean". Despite my email to the property manager not including anything about ...reduced rent he clearly decided this was a ploy. Unfortunately during this stressful move I was not savvy enough to snap any photos of the unfortunate site scattered around my new home. Over my time spent in this location, multiple tenants would ask me if I ever had contact with the Kleinman. The word most often used to describe the owner was "nasty". Regardless of any thefts (which there were plenty) or issues with the apartment units, discussions fell on angry ears. Additional points: The air conditioner makes for a pricey electric bill. Unfortunately the apartment is poorly insulated and the air leaves the apartment quicker than entering other rooms, leaving the bedroom quite warm on a summer evening. Let's see, I mentioned laundry thefts, garage thefts, package thefts, broken door buzzers, broken elevator which trapped a few people in my time there, tenants being lied to about improvements to the apartment that were clearly never meant to happen, that random key on my key chain for when the decided to upgrade our door locks but never quite made it to my door. When I was in school, the word was "choose your classes based on the professors, not on the actual topic". I'm starting to think the same thing about apartments. Kleinman/KRC may be someone to avoid, particularly this property.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
