Don’t believe positive reviews
September 24, 2021There is no chance any positive reviews are real. This is where hope goes to die. I’ve lived in bad rentals but neglect lives in this place and takes hold. Nothing screams “I don’t care” like a lobby of an Elmsleigh building. The smell alone is just futile. Let’s start with the walls, I can hear my neighbor snoring at night. I can hear my other neighbor’s alarm clock in the morning. The windows - original and single pane. Basically, they are made of tape and they just want to be laid to rest. But ...nothing is as bad as the management, but they outdid themselves during the pandemic. They didn’t want to pay for maintenance so they said they were scaling back to protect the staff. Seemed reasonable, but that didn’t stop them from raising the rent twice. They also haven’t responded to any emails or calls. I kinda wonder if it’s just a lonely phone in a room at this point. There is no guest parking but that doesn’t stop the revving in the parking lot at 7:00am and I can hear it because of the useless windows.Property Manager Responded

Nightmare!
October 15, 2019At first, the PROs (price and location)seem to outweigh the CONs. But after living here for a few months, my list of CONs continues to grow. So, here is a list of things I wish I would've known before signing the lease agreement. 1) There is no guest parking. Your guests or roommate will have to park across the street at Walgreens. If someone else parks in your spot, there isn't a number to call, so you'll be walking. 2) The walls are paper thin. You will be able to your surrounding neighbors ...speaking at a normal volume and cats meowing as well as ANYTHING outside (car radios, the tennis courts at Red Run, and people speaking). The country club nextdoor has music blasting until 10pm during the summer. 3) This place is BEYOND mismanaged. Calls and emails will not be returned in a timely matter. Management has already changed once since I have been here. Maintenance to your apartment may not get done. 4) There is no ventilation in the bathroom. If you shower without opening the window, the fire alarm will go off. The bathroom window is completely transparent so you'll have to close the blinds. But as soon as the wind blows, your neighbors have a view. Also, I am not sure how its possible to control mold and mildew without proper ventilation. 5) The windows are dirty, outdated, and extremely drafty. 6) Cleanliness is NOT a priority. Somebody (barely) cleans the building once a week but there are spatters of different substances all over the walls and floors. Light fixtures in the hallways are always burnt out and rarely replaced. There is liter lining the fence, surrounding the dumpsters, and in the bushes. 7) The basement is disgusting. The light bulbs in the basement are almost all burnt out. The washing machine has left holes in my clothes. The floors are absolutely filthy. Each apartment has an assigned utility sink, but they're all filled with muck.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Love my no-frills townhouse
July 21, 2015Perfect size for just myself. Two decent-sized bedrooms upstairs with the bathroom. Living room/Dining area is a good size, and the kitchen is small, but there is a deck off the back and a basement. The current management and maintenance is pleasant and responsive, the location is great. It would be nice to have a more parking and a few amenities, but overall I am pleased and have been here for 3 years.Review from Apartments.com
