Compared to other 55plus communities I looked at, I selected Everleigh bc of its smaller community footprint. This past month I got some unexpected news about my health requiring me to have to rehome my 12yr old dog literally two days b4 he was to arrive (he was staying with my sister while I got settled) Community Manager Celina was understanding and compassionate while making me feel at ...ease that my boy BO would b welcome to visit when he and my sister were in town which went along way in easing the pain of not being able to keep him with me. August 20, 2024I am a new resident of Everleigh Vernon Hills. So far I love the layout and spaciousness of my unit, especially my kitchen, which has more counter and cabinet space than kitchens in most single-family homes even. I managed to get my dining room set and my living room furniture into the living/dining area. There is a lot of closet space and a large balcony with a view of "The Garden" and then woods in the distance. The location is great: I am a 2 minute-drive from Whole Foods Vernon Hills -- ...and just about that close to dozens of other stores and restaurants and places of business that I frequent. And I plan to ride my bike on the Des Plaines River Trail, which is so very close by, just across Milwaukee Avenue. There is a full schedule of activities published each month, including different types of group exercise activities that happen each morning of the week.
