    • Thin walls, bad management, and of course, cockroaches

      July 28, 2015
I am almost finished my 1-year lease at 334 E 79th st and will NOT be renewing my lease! My roommate and I are currently living in a lofted 1-bedroom (flexed to 2) and have had issues from day 1. First, we had a fly infestation for roughly 2 months - absolutely no idea where they came from. Next, it seemed that elephants lived upstairs. Oh wait, no, it was just my neighbors walking around, and moving furniture over what must be the thinnest floor allowed by minimum safety standards. I'd be up ...
all night, bothered by the sounds of them walking, but what am I to do? Ask them to stop walking in their apartment? Finally, management was terrible. The super let realtors into my apartment without my permission, would leave my front door wide open after coming in, and often made a mess in the rooms. Not to mention, he'd never install a smoke or carbon monoxide detector even though we had asked multiple times. And of course, to top it off, we found cockroaches. Bottom line: don't live here!

    details
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on scale of 1 (below average) and to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider needs as part of the school selection process.
