Very happy
November 2, 2023I love the location and the forest trees surroundings. The two bedrooms apartment is roomy and fits my needs. The extra room is my office and activity room. As for the exceptional managerial staff, they were quite helpful...they went the extra mile, so to speak, to work with me. Although there's a waiting list...I believe it's worth the wait.Review from Apartments.com
Peaceful, Quiet Apartment Complex
July 20, 2022We've lived here for a few months and have had a wonderful experience. The grounds are beautiful, with wildlife and birds right outside your door. Management is responsive to our requests when something breaks. We can hear our upstairs neighbor a little bit (flushing toilet, talking) but not enough to bother us. Everyone is pretty chill, respectful, and quiet. People mostly keep to themselves. Great proximity to trails if you're a trail runner or hiker. Awesome school district if you have kids. ...It has been a great place for us to live and we are really THANKFUL to have found it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Person on the phone was extremely rude
August 20, 2021I called to ask about available units and the woman on the phone had the worst tone/attitude for no reason. Guess they don't want people to live there.Review from Apartments.com
Poor Communication
July 22, 2021I applied for this apartment complex and was denied on the grounds of "credit history" and "rental history" (no more specific than that). Instead of giving me the opportunity to get a cosigner or pay an additional security deposit, they denied me outright. Plus, I spoke with my current landlord and they confirmed that they did not receive a request for rental history information from their management. I wanted an explanation as to why I was denied to better understand how to apply for other ...places in the future. Despite asking multiple times, the property manager did not give me specific reasons as to why my "credit history" and "rental history" were not enough me to rent a space there. They only cited that they "have a right to deny any application that doesn't meet their screening criteria". I was also ignored for more than 72 business hours after making a request for more information, and had to send a second email asking for clarification again. Not to mention, every email they sent me was riddled with spelling and grammar errors. If this is how they communicate with potential applicants, I shudder to think of how their tenants are treated.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Wonderful and Caring Management and Great Location!
October 2, 2017I've been planning to move to Eugene early this summer and found this nice apartment complex nestled in the lower hills of South Eugene while on a walk with my sister. We went into the office to meet with Darcy who is the manager of the apartments. I told Darcy I was looking for a top floor unit in a very quiet location of the complex and was willing to wait a couple of months until the right place would become available. Darcy was extremely helpful and knew of a unit that might be available ...towards the end of summer. Since my schedule was flexible I told her I would wait. I was extremely impressed with the way Darcy listened to my needs and she even took notes so she would remember what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was just offered a new job and decided to put off moving to Eugene for a few more years. Good news bad news......I got a good job, but will miss moving to beautiful Euegene:-( It's always nice to know that the resident manager is a caring and understanding person. I will most likely be calling Darcy for a place in a few years after I'm ready to semi-retire.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Place to Live!!!!
June 27, 2017My wife and I relocated to Eugene from Arizona and rented a unit at Forest Village Apartments sight unseen. In the time that I lived there, I only had two maintenance issues, both minor, and the maintenance responded within two hours. As a full time Realtor who now lives on the Oregon Coast in Newport, I can tell you there are 3 factors that affect a property and its marketability: Condition, Functionality and Location. The condition of the units are great. The entire complex, over 100 units, ...has fresh paint and new, double paned windows, some have new laminate floors and I think all have new carpet, new fixtures, countertops, etc. Functionality is also great, all the appliances, windows, doors, electrical, cable and plumbing are without problems. The units may be a bit on the small side if you have a family but are priced appropriately and you still have the carport with a large storage area. The third area of marketability, location, deals with factors outside the complex. It is near a grocery / strip mall, walking trails and several schools. You may have to drive to go to Target but you gain the peace and quite afforded by living a mile from the city line. My wife and I have rented in San Francisco, Tucson, Phoenix, San Antonio and Indianapolis and this is, by far, the best experience we ever had. When the big ice storm hit in the winter of 2016, the management was able to hire outside help for the clean up (myself included, for about a week, until my back gave out), debris removal containers and an arborist to get the grounds back to normal in a short matter of time. This is not some slum lord complex where things go unfixed and deferred maintenance is the standard...far from it. When we moved out this spring, the management had just planted a large amount of flowers and shrubs that really made the grounds look nice. Forest Village is also non-smoking, which is a great benefit for my wife and I, who quit almost 10 years ago. There are nice places to walk on the grounds, a 24 hour gym, lobby with coffee and the complex is less than a mile from Safeway, the Cascades Raptor Center, Marsh Trail Head and Spencer Butte Trail. I highly recommend Forest Village to anyone thinking of moving or relocating to Oregon without reservation. If you do not enjoy it here, you may not enjoy it anywhere! :)Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great apartment and value
June 21, 2017I saw the poor reviews and decided to give a review-- this is by far the best apartment for the value that I've lived in. The maintenance requests that we've asked for while here have always been taken care of promptly and without issue. They take great care of the property and did a great job in 2017s ice storms. This place is named "forest village" for a reason and if you are from a forested area, you will understand the amount of work that goes into maintaining something like this ...ESPECIALLY during snow/ice storms. Every morning/sunset I see deers and turkeys, so expect to be woken up occasionally in the spring with a bunch of turkeys getting funky. Their calls never bothered me and I found it kind of relaxing. You can also leave your apt and walk straight up to the top of Spencers butte within 90 mins. I honestly dreaded living in an apartment community, but we had 0 issues with noise or our neighbors. I am from Texas and if you are new to the PNW-- this will definitely be what you hoped for when moving here. We are honestly sad to leave, but we just purchased our first home. Thanks again! -Dan and AmyRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Quiet Living-Wild life Safari
August 12, 2015Picture waking up to the birds chirping, sipping a nice cup of coffee on your balcony overlooking a lush landscape and perhaps you will see a Doe with her fawn nibbling its breakfast down below you. The atmosphere and setting of the Forrest Village Apartments are for the nature enthusiasts and people who want to live a quite ,serene life. The perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not too far away from the neccesities of life. The staff in the office are professional and ...caring. I enjoy living here and if your like the people I described above you would too.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
