  • Roach infestation

    October 30, 2024
I've lived here for over three years. The same appointment floor plan is $200 cheaper than I'm paying now with my rent increases. They got rid of the dog park and there is a major roach problem.

  • Wouldn't live here again

    October 5, 2022
I wouldn't live here again if I could go back in time. Maybe wait like 3 or 4 years and then live here. Currently lots of construction noise, equipment left in hallway, etc. In addition: - Elevator breaks every 2 weeks or so - Front garage door has been broken for over a month - Pool area usually smells like dog pee in the summer due to the turf pet park - Have had water leak into my apartment 5 times in the time I've lived here - 7th floor hallway has had a leak in the ceiling since I moved ...
in over 2 years ago - Accidentally drilled through my ceiling into my apartment while working on the roof - It's owned by Uptown Rentals if you've lived with them before that will give you the vibe - Poop and pee in hallways pretty often - Ants in the hallway on 7th floor from garbage room Overall for the price you pay, I'd live in one of the newer buildings in the area and not have to deal with the renovations/construction/Uptown Rentals. If you're reading this a few years into the future, maybe it's gotten better.

  • Never Calls Back

    June 18, 2021
I have called this apartment for five straight days in attempt to hear about availability and schedule a tour. I have left messages and also emailed. No one has gotten back to me. So I cannot vouch for the inside of the building, because I will never get to see it because they for some reason cannot call people back. However, I think it does speak to poor management and I cannot imagine how long it would take for someone to contact me back if I needed maintenance living here.

  • Look elsewhere.

    March 11, 2021
Living at 4th and Plum for about 2 years. The staff/management is friendly. Management setups an event every 2-4 months for guests to enjoy, which is fun and exciting. Amenities: 3/5 The intercom/buzz machine downstairs does not work. Laundry Room: They recently installed new washing machines and dryers, but the maintenance of them isn't kept up (1/4th of the machines are not working). Cardio Room: 3 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, 1 Stairmaster, and 1 row-machine. All machines work and the area is ...
well kept. Strength Training Room: Only one machine not working but mostly well kept like the Cardio Room. Pet Spa: Perfect for your dog. Pet snacks are provided as well as other little things for your dog (toys, perfume, etc.) Pool: Reasonable but beware of underchlorinated water. Strict rules and unnecessary pool rules. Only "available" during "office hours". Clubroom: Never used. TV cannot be turned on and there is no cable access. Rooftop Deck: Beautiful newly renovated area with a gorgeous fireplace, 2 grills, cornhole, giant connect 4 games, & a doggie park. The doggie park has been under renovation for months so residents let their dogs poop anywhere on the property. The garage is dilapidated, expensive, and not maintained at all. The doors are very slow & don't work 20% of the time, the floor in the garage is cracked with lots of potholes. I've had random fluids and junk fall on my car in the garage from the ceiling. During the pandemic, they initiated roof repair which caused immense noise from 9 am - 5 pm for months during which everyone was working from home. Fortunately, I was able to stay with others to maintain my peace and sanity while construction was completed. Apartments: There are newly renovated apartments that sold as 'Luxury' apartments and some that are not renovated. Overall, the apartments are given clean and safe except for the fact that the bathrooms DO NOT have extraction fans. Please check high and low for mold growth in the bathroom. I've never seen any pests (roaches, mice, rats, flies) inside the building. The roof has leaking issues still. There is a pervasive issue of fire alarms being set off at night time.

  • Friendly staff and great views!!

    February 4, 2021
I have lived at 4th and plum for 3 years now. You can't beat the price for living downtown! The staff is all so friendly and know myself and my dog by name. The amenities are a great perk too. :)

  • DO NOT RENT FROM HERE

    June 2, 2020
Awful management, Constant construction, smoke in the buildings, zero value for tenants.... transferred to a new unit and was told by management they “wish I hadn’t renewed my lease if I was unhappy”..... again, they don’t care. Don’t rent, you’ll regret it. Worst place I’ve lived. Also, all those photos of nice amenities you can’t use. They tore up our roof over the winter and it’s still not fixed.... move here only if you want a contact headache and waste your money

  • very accommodating and great place to live

    December 14, 2019
halfway through my lease i was offered another job and would be required to move. The property managers worked with me and were able to let me out of my lease. It was such a big relief to be able to not have to pay on a place i would not be living at. They treated me like a friend instead of a paycheck. Very nice place to live as well with great upkeep and numerous perks

  • Thank God I only signed a 3 month lease

    November 21, 2019
This place is absolutely the worst building I have ever lived in. Like it's questionable if it's even proper living conditions. For starters, it cost my roommate and I over $2000 in unnecessary costs from hospital bills due to windows literally breaking hands to car damages in the impossible-to-drive-in garage to the HVAC system leaking and destroying our belongings. Thirteen serious maintenance issues happened in the three months I lived there, all of which took at least a few days - if not ...
weeks - to fix. The HVAC system literally exploded and had a steady stream of water coming out for three weeks before they had someone fix it. It was so bad that it ruined the floors and walls and leaked into the apartment below us. Our toilet was unusable for five entire days, and even though I had left 13 messages for emergency maintenance no one ever even called me back. I had to go to the leasing office TWICE to have a functioning toilet again. On a few occasions, we were all trapped in the building because someone kept stealing the door handles to the stairwell and since the elevator was broken for over a month, there was no way out of the building. Absolutely terrible, I cannot even fathom living here again.

  • Worst Building Ever

    July 15, 2019
This is the worst building I have ever lived in. Honestly would have been better off sleeping outside than living in this building. The elevator was broken for a month, there is a serial door-handle-ripper-offer, someone keeps defecating in the pool, it takes them weeks to handle maintenance requests (including leaks!). But at least we have DIY doormat nights and puppy adoption parties. Yay! If you choose to live here, you are certifiably insane.

  • Horrible Management Company

    June 25, 2018
Cheap cheap cheap cheap! Is all I can say. I recently toured this community with the apartment manager who in my opinion didn’t know anything about the property the apartments are thrown together. The garage is old and dirty. The hallways are dark. The balconies are old and dingy. The newer units are very cheaply made. No lighting. Building smells. Do not waste your time. Management company is only out for money. There were roaches left in one of the lofts we toured. Most windows didn’t open. It ...
was a very horrible experience. No vents in bathrooms.

  • Fun Atmosphere, but not the best

    September 26, 2016
I lived at Fourth and Plum for 3 years, and it was great at first. However, if you are looking for somewhere quite or modern... I would not recommend. The lofts are very big and spacious, but the walls between tenants are paper thin. (be prepared to hear your neighbors cat and even their bed squeak!) They do have a pool on the roof which is a great feature, but I would not recommend inviting family or children over as it is not the best environment. They have an awesome maintenance team, but ...
it is close to impossible to talk with management. And if you do not get along with the management onsite, there is no way to talk to their supervisors. It is pretty strange and can even be uncomfortable. If you are looking for a place downtown that is cheap(er) and about the nightlife, you have found the place.
