Hello, Neighbor!
April 25, 2020PROS: -Located less than 20 minutes drive from most daily necessities, conveniences, and recreational activities. -The shower has good water pressure and gets pleasingly hot. -A lot of closet/storage place. CONS: -The hardwood floors are fake wood. -No counter space for food prep. -No ceiling fan=no air flow. Very hot and stuffy. -My apartment seems unfinished with many noticeable shortcuts. -My building almost always smells of cigarettes. -You pay for parking with no guarantee of ...getting a spot (is this a parking sticker or a scratch ticket?). -Sigourney Street has no public garbage cans, meaning that the street is COVERED in trash. -Old, leaky coin-op laundry machines sometimes eat my quarters. -Expect to hear A LOT of emergency vehicles going by. -Worst of all, the noise pollution is ridiculous! Inconsiderate children (and adults) all over the place that NEVER STOP screaming and wailing, morning, noon, and night. Shout-talking to someone from outside their window (or even just a few feet away) seems to be the standard form of communication. People park in the fire lane right outside my window honking their horns and blasting their subwoofers for my listening pleasure at any time of day or night, but usually at night.
