Genesis Neighborhood Plaza II
October 12, 2015I really love my building. It have a computer room, community room, laundry room, nice back area with a playground and parking underground. It's like an hidden gem in East NY. The maintenance men keep the building very clean and looking nice. They really work hard are very nice. They have 24hr security as well. Though everybsecurity guard isn't always very pleasant, there are some really nice guards. I don't let the bad apples ruin the bunch. There are also Plenty of cameras so you really feel ...secure. There are veterans that live here as well. I don't really know to much about the programs they offer to them but the building is gear to helping them. Though the veterans may seem a little intimaditating or whatever they are the coolest and nicest bunch. They don't bother anyone. Of course you have the children that hang out sin the backare as well as adults. Security really stick to hours the back area is open for. So there isn't any loud noise in the back of your apartment like mine is in the back. One of the majors cons is the community room. I'm the type of parent who like to host parties and get together a and since my building have the community room space for it, it's seem to only be for the veterans yet we pay rent if not more than them. I've tried to utilize the space twice and declined but they want to tell you about late parties in your apartment. Really? Another con is bbq'ing. I understand you can't barbecue in the front of the building and who would that looks tacky but they don't want you to barbecue in the back either. And that's okay but the space on the corner where they build a small soccer play area could have also been use for bbq'ing it's away from the buildings and outside behind the fence. Oh yeah there no pets allowed yet their in the building as well. As it is every where in NYC lol :) overall it's a great place to live next to a great elementary school.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
