85 Grant Street
July 27, 2015While it may not be my favorite apartment complex I've lived in, 85 Grant Street is definitely a popular location for young entrepreneurs beginning their lives in Denver. Since the day I moved in there has been a sense of community; whether that be chatting with the neighbors in the backyard, walking down the long strip of South Broadway (2 blocks away), or talking sports with our eccentric landlord. I have lived here for almost a year, and although the location is perfect for those who want to ...really experience Denver life, the complex itself hasn't come without flaws. For those who need air conditioning and a washer and dryer in the units, I suggested you search elsewhere. There is a laundry room in the basement of the building that costs $2.25 per load - so start saving those quarters! The building is older, so expect it to have an older feel. Things break easily, the landlords do their best to keep up with maintenance issues, but since it's not corporately owned some things take more time to be attended to. Early this year a few units toilets would not stop running, and it took around 48 hours before the problem was resolved. Our rent for a 2bed/1bath is $1,500 a month, which I believe is fair for the location and amenities. Overall, my experience at 85 Grant Street has been positive, minus small hiccups. I will most likely renew my lease for one more year before moving out to another location. Leave a comment on my review if you have any questions, and I will get back to you.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
