  • Gross mismanagement and skewed priorities

    "Fanciest Slum Lord in Manchester" is the best way to describe this apartment complexes management style. They care about unnecessary paint jobs for the front office and fake greenery for the walls while the actual buildings have bursting pipes in the main hall above the front door and faulty appliances, (due to the drying fans) fire alarms that went off everyday, multiple times per day for weeks afterwards, poor ventilation in bathrooms causing mold and mildew. The water restoration fans in our ...
    unit had to be on 24/7 for two weeks, and the office refused to compensate for the costs of the electric burden or even reply to multiple inquiries after we sent the documentation they asked for. When the seal was literally falling off of our refrigerator, it took them weeks (with our food spoiling) to replace the old one with a dented and scratched "new" one, when a plastic knob to operate our AC unit broke, we were told to just use pliers to turn it on. Our dishwasher stopped working about 10 days ago and they are claiming next week to repair/replace. The maintenance guys are good guys but are not paid enough, so they are chronically shortstaffed and too busy to make repairs. Maybe if they paid decently they could attract more people, but they don't care about the residents, just their appearance. We have been here 7 years and never once were even late on rent and this is how this company rewards good paying tenants. We will be moving out at the end of March and we will be speaking to local news and the BBB about these issues as they want an additional $4000.00 ON TOP OF March's rent when we move out. This company is a slum lord, albeit with a fancy front office, but a slum lord nonetheless. Rent elsewhere. You'll thank me.

    From the great amenities to the well kept buildings, for 3 years I have loved living here! I love the community of the neighborhood and I have always felt safe and welcomed at Halstead. In the summertime, the pool area is so much fun and I love being able to use the state of the art gym without having to go far from home.

    Wonderful and safe place to live, very convenient, close to stores, nice path to take walks, pet friendly, people friendly, staff are very friendly and helpful, better than past places I've lived, it would be wonderful to have a light fixture on my patio thou lol, thank you for accepting me as your tenant

    The amenities at Halstead Countryside can not be beat. The apartments are nice and the access you have to one of the nicest workout facilities in the area is unparalleled. It is worth checking out if you are looking for a place.

    We moved here in May and couldn't be happier. Friendly neighbors, great maintenance help when needed , and so many awesome perks including the clubhouse,package room, and of course the pool once weather is warmer. Plus, I love the fun baskets and events!

  • Great for manchester!

    We’ve lived here for a little over a year and have had minimal complaints. Most of the staff is quite friendly, maintenance is timely though occasionally backups happen. They try to take care of the most important issues first, which unavoidably puts non emergent issues on a delay. Our neighbors are all pretty great except one but that’s the joy of apartment living. They do a good job at making the area feel safe and not like stereotypical Manchester.

  • Great place for big dog owners!

    We had a hard time finding a place that met our needs and would allow us to have our two 50lb dogs, so it was a relief when we found Halstead had both what we wanted in an apartment (good sq footage, in unit laundry and dishwasher, good closet sizing) and would allow us to have our dogs! Application and approval process was easy and painless, and Michael at the leasing office was super friendly and knowledgeable about the apartments and patiently talked over all the options available and helped ...
