Avoid this place! Noisy, old, filthy apartment
January 8, 2017This place is really nasty. The only advantage is that it is super close the campus, nothing else! If you have other options, don’t hesitate to ignore this apartment. 1. The neighborhood is very noisy. Several frat-boy houses in the area, which make your life miserable. Loud parties all week nights! The area behind this apartment is basically the urinal of parties and always smells bad. The management does nothing about it. 2. The insulation of building is very poor. Large, old, and deformed ...windows cannot protect the apartment from cold weather. Cold air comes from the windows and you cannot do anything to keep the apartment warm enough. 3. The heating is so bad, even when you put the thermostat on highest, the actual temperature does not get above 65F. You have to use electric heather in winter, which makes you electric bill jump up. 4. The laundry room is filthy! Never cleaned. The washers and dryers are so old. 5. The sound isolation is very bad, because of bricks. If your roommate opens a book, you can hear it in your room. 6. The management acts very late to clean up the snow in front of the building, stairs, and parking. 7. Hallways and inside stairs are always dirty. 8. Although it is a furnished apartment, the furniture is old and completely useless, so you have to buy your own. 9. The AC, fridge, and dishwasher are made in 70-80’s. Even if you try to save energy, your electric bill is really high. 10. The managerial staff are not friendly at all, and make every attempt to prove you that you are not paying for a luxury place, so you don't need to receive good services. Truly annoying people. I had a very bad experience of living in this apartment and do not recommend anyone to consider this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Decent with Plenty of Perks
July 20, 2015While this apartment is a dark, dismal place, it does offer some awesome perks in the otherwise abysmal Ann Arbor student housing market. The apartment features a dishwasher (say goodbye to your messy roommate's dishes), plenty of space, air conditioning, and parking. However, I've survived a few appliance breakdowns, including an unlabelled oven and the much-anticipated AC. Fortunately, Michigan Realty Management is quick to send out help.Review from Apartments.com
