Do Not move here if you care about your personal items
October 13, 2024This apartment complex, along with its management, is undoubtedly one of the most incompetent and negligent entities l have encountered. I have personally experienced damage to my vehicle, and I have sent multiple emails to management regarding this matter. Additionally, my pregnant girlfriend was attacked by a dog on the premises. Despite our repeated attempts to reach out to management regarding both situations, we have received no response or resolution.Review from Apartments.com
Don’t move here
August 18, 2024I have been living at Hycohen Residency for several months now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the worst places I’ve ever lived. If you’re thinking about moving here, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. To start with, the apartment was dirty and in disrepair when I moved in. Despite numerous requests, management has done nothing to address these issues. They clearly have no interest in maintaining the apartments or providing a decent living environment. The management staff is ...rude and completely unresponsive. It takes forever to get any sort of reply, and when they do finally respond, it’s usually with an excuse or a half-hearted promise that things will be fixed "soon"—which, of course, never happens. I’ve had multiple issues with work ordered taking weeks to get repaired. The noise levels here are unbearable. It seems like there’s no insulation between the walls, so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. I’ve had to deal with loud music, shouting, and even arguments that go on late into the night. Complaints to management about the noise go ignored, so don’t expect any peace and quiet if you move here. The grounds are poorly maintained, with trash often piling up in the dumpsters and around the complex. The parking situation is a nightmare, with not nearly enough spaces for residents, let alone guests. You’ll often have to park far away from your building, and even then, your car isn’t safe. There have been multiple reports of car break-ins, and security is non-existent. The amenities that are advertised are a joke. The gym equipment is old and broken, the pool is rarely cleaned, and the common areas are dirty and unpleasant. It’s clear that the management has no interest in investing in the upkeep of the property. Lastly, the rent is ridiculously high for what you get. It’s not worth the money, not by a long shot. This complex is a poorly managed, noisy, and dirty place to live. The Southside management doesn’t care about the residents, and the condition of the apartments and amenities is disgraceful. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Stay far away.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Rather live in my car in a McDonald’s parking lot
July 31, 2024Don’t move here, during the hurricane and the tornado back in May my patio door was leaking resulting in damage to my speakers and my baby’s toys got moldy. Maintenance said they’re going to order a plank to put down but i never heard back from them. There is an ant problem in the bathrooms and bedrooms, i believe they’re coming from the cracks in the hardwood floors. some how crickets are getting inside my apartment when i live on the 2nd floor, there’s spiders all in the hallways of the ...apartments. the agents in the front office have really bad attitudes, i had to pester them about providing me a trash can for the valet trash because with a new born it’s hard to find time to take out the trash and when i remind the agent that i still need a trash can she slides the trash can to me almost in a “ here dang” matter. valet trash can’t be “too heavy” so they pick and choose when to pick up trash even though you’re paying for valet trash fee every month. Last month someone got the tires stole off of their pick up truck and the police had to blow their horn at 3 o’clock in the morning to figure out who the owner of the truck was to return the tires after the thief was caught. Someone backed into my mom’s vehicle in broad daylight but the apartments doesn’t have cameras so no one was ever caught therefore she had to pay $900 out of pocket to get it repaired. My vehicle got towed while i was running my handicap grandma and 7 month old baby upstairs, the tow truck wouldn’t even look my way when i tried to stop him because my grandma insulin for her diabetes and heart medicine was inside the car then management didn’t accommodate me any kind of way resulting in me, a single mother having to say $292 to get my vehicle out the tow yard the same day. They’re money hungry so any parking spot is available to be reserved for a fee of course. Every weekend the parking lot is full and there are loud parties. The gates are always breaking. They have a locker room for packages but the Amazon worker only put 1 persons package into the system then throw everyone else’s packages in so you have to go to the front office for them to open the door , everything is just very inconvenient here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
