Worst Apartment Society
November 4, 2021Only if I could give ZERO stars. Absolutely horrible experience. All these people are interested in getting the lease signed by saying all lies and then once that’s done nobody is bothered about the residents. We were shown a diff layout and given a diff apartment which was dirty, old with all the dirt of the previous residents still in the house. Had to deep clean the house ourselves. Even so every week we have different issue with A/C , equipment’s, dents on floor , holes in windows, bugs, ...fleas(I don’t even have pets ) etc etc. After 100s of email exchange with management all they are worried about is their review and nothing else. Extremely horrible experience! No wonder they have been getting dire incidents and lost two buildings in consecutive years because the entire management is least bothered about their residents.Property Manager Responded

So many extra fees
April 28, 2021How is a benefit for me cost me more money. When you move her be prepared to pay for valet trash services, pest control, package locker boxes, monthly statement fees, and the newest fee is to report to the credit bureau. I feel the reason they keep tacking on fees each year is because the tenants doesn’t say anything about it. How do you market this as a benefit for me but then charge me for it.Ridiculous! The only options I have is to pay the increase or move and possible pay an increase due to ...the time of year. This is a lose lose. February 12, 2021IMT Deerfield is a beautiful place to live I feel safe in this gated community, the grounds are beautiful and clean the maintenance staff is great about keeping the breezeway clean and the landscape flowers always look nice and fresh. The community Manager cares and makes sure my work orders are taken care of in a timely manner. Renee is very approachable and friendly she genuinely cares about the tenants and how the community looks so does the staff they are all friendly. Thank you IMT Deerfield ...for my lovely place. February 20, 2020****PLEASE READ VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION****** DO NOT MOVE HERE, IMT DEERFIELD APARTMENT COMPLEX There are plenty of good apartments near by, originally gave this place a 5 star because the maintenance guys helped me when they lived there. I had the worst experience leaving here. I changed jobs and had to move. We came to an agreement when I left that I would pay until they filled my apartment with another person. They never notified me that the room was rented two weeks after i left and they ...got a pro rated rent from the new residents. They got my rent and another persons rent, which is highly illegal. Sent me to collections and found out through credit karma. They never gave me any notice that I owed money. We had an agreement and they check me out of my apartment and then sent me to collections without any notice. I don't write reviews often, but i felt like this was necessary and i hope i can help other people not get in a similar position that i was in. Trust me, this area is filled with other places that aren't IMT that are better priced and location. There office staff was a nightmare to deal with and they are not ethical people.Property Manager Responded

Renting nightmare
May 1, 2019Don't even waste your time renting from this place. I had sent in an application to rent from them 3 weeks before I needed to move in. The first unit I had signed up for had to be gassed for roaches and was posted as available for move in which was a lie. The next unit they told me that would be ready had water damage which they thought was only on the outside but was also on the inside. The third unit they said would for sure be ready without a doubt and just needed to be cleaned. They even told ...me to contact the electric company to have power set up at this unit and change my renters insurance address. Then told me 3 days before I was supposed to move in and my previous lease ended at my old place that this apartment actually wouldn't be available after they just told me for sure it would be. Incredibly frustrating and unprofessional business. They had 3 weeks to have just one unit available for me for my move in date and failed to do so. This place is flooded with maintenance issues and their communication between employees is zero to none. One will tell you one thing and the other will tell you the exact opposite a day later.Property Manager Responded

Place is gross
January 26, 2019Let's start with the breezeways... so dirty and stained from the "valet" trash company we pay $20 a month for. Whatever leaks in a bag.. leaks the entire breezeway and stairs. Awesome for your guest to view as they come visit. Lights out, lights hanging. Yes we have a dog park with a swamp.. I don't take my dog in there due to the fact of dog poop every where and it's always wet.. who knows what your dog is stepping in. Trash on the grounds constantly, mailbox areas full of trash, so it just ...blows all over the place on the weekends when no one is here. Standing water for days in the back of the buildings when it rains, so obviously the drains are clogged. Work orders take forever to complete, and when they are finally addressed, there is some excuse to why it took so long. Maybe hire more people to run such a demanding property. Since the new management has taken over, the complex has completely changed for the worse. Please do yourself a favor and don't move here. High prices for rent, but the staff can't keep up with the type of residents that can afford it. I can't wait for our lease to be over. 5 months and counting!Property Manager Responded

Maintenance does their best to complete the work orders within 24-48 hours of receiving the request, however, sometimes the length of time can be extended depending on the request and what’s required to complete it. If your breezeway requires a detailed clean please notify me and I will ensure that it gets done promptly. Our dog park is checked daily to insure that the waste bags are available to residents and during this time we try to get any waste that was left from the night previously, Helping Hound also visits our community once a week to assist with clean-up of any pet feces that is seen on property. ...I sincerely apologize for your experience thus far, and we would love the opportunity to improve your living experience. Great location, terrible service
November 25, 2018I've lived at what is now IMT Deerfield for quite a long time, and I have to say things have really gone downhill. If you have a maintenance issue, expect it to take days or even weeks to get looked at. When someone finally arrives, they'll often dismiss it as you doing something wrong or not understanding how it's supposed to work. If you have a really big issue, make sure you don't clean it up before they get there, or you run the risk of being told it wasn't actually broken and having to ...call them back and wait again. I once called in to the leasing office about an issue, and the woman on the phone literally said "what do you want us to do about it?" I was dumbfounded! The last couple of months, especially, I've noticed the grounds haven't been very well taken care of - leaves in huge piles for days, trash (or worse dog doo) on the sidewalk that never gets cleaned up, etc. That being said, not everything is terrible. For starters the location is amazing. It's generally a very quiet neighborhood. Also, there are a few stars in both the leasing office and on the maintenance team that really keep the place running. If you interact with them you'll probably have no problem, but unfortunately you can't guarantee who you deal with. Long story short, I think this place could be a real gem (and it used to be!) if management took a hard look at fixing their customer service.Property Manager Responded

August 30, 2018I moved in early August. The move in was easy, smooth transition all with the help of Ryan. He answered all questions and concerns shared information when necessary. Don’t even think about moving here
August 12, 2018They don’t clean their common areas, unfortunately my close friends and relatives live here, they are very disappointed that they have since they can’t afford to break their lease and move now. Don’t move here if you don’t want to be in the same situation. Many attempts have been made to deal with management, sadly they don’t care for their tenants as much as they should.Review from Apartments.com
