AC has been broken for 6 weeks and overpriced units
August 9, 2020It is our second year in the building. We resigned our lease in March (right before covid) and new rentals are going for ~$500 cheaper than what we pay. Building management refuses to adjust which I find to be not market behavior. But this is besides the point.. In addition to above, we have had a broken AC unit for 6 weeks+ and there is no set date for it will be fixed. I have had three packages stolen in the past few months from the "lockers" without much of a response from building ...management. Further, it will take multiple emails to illicit any response from the front office and property manager. While the building and units look nice due to how the residents are treated I could not more strongly NOT recommend this building. There are many new properties that are close that I would recommend looking.Property Manager Responded

Horrible!
October 18, 2018Be Aware!!! They will do everything to push your contract to high season (March- Oct) so that they can increase your rent and charge you way more than what your initial rate was! Here is what happened to us. We moved to indigo in Mid jan. 2018 and signed a contract for 11 month. We wanted our lease to end in low season (December) so that when we want to renew it or move to another place the rates are low. Now that it's time for us to renew our lease, they sent us a renewal offer and not only ...they are increasing the rate A LOT but also they are only giving us 15 to 19 month renewal options meaning that our new lease will end in high season and they can charge us even more or even if we decide to move to a different place at that time, the rates are gonna be higher than usual due to high season. They specifically told us that they don't offer 12 month lease anymore, well, they actually do, but only to those whose contracts will end in high season after 12 months. They really don't care about their residents and all they want is more money. They are constantly looking for ways to rip their customers off! Run away from them or you will be misserable having to deal with these people. I have never had such experience with any other rental place before. Also, be aware that you will be sharing your utility with other tenants on your floor so no matter how green you live, you will have to pay for other tenants usage! I have also heard that they try everything no to return your deposite. I will post an update about that in December.Property Manager Responded
October 24, 2018Hello, The team has told me that they offered many different options to you regarding renewal, including a 4 month lease extension at the same rate as well as a $1000 gift card. Our prices are part and parcel dictated by the market, but we are always trying to do best by our residents. If you would like to take advantage of these offers, please feel free to reach out to me at ICanHelp@Aimco.com. Thanks! -George

Nickel and Dime You
April 26, 2017Moving in is the easiest part, biggest pro compared to other apartment complexes I've lived in, but not great after. No control of the utilities. You'll pay the following in addition to rent which is assessed by the building (which they it doesn't appear like they base their calculation on occupancy): electric, pest control, gas, sewer, service fee, trash, water (varies every month around $100-$200). You pay PG&E separately for the gas, but they still make you pay another gas bill fee on their ...online statement. On three separate occasions I got mail misplaced only to have them find it after me going to their mail room and physically searching myself. Due to construction next door the apartment I was staying at got extremely dusty, every other day I'd have to vaccum and clean. I moved out after 6 months. I don't think the windows are sealed correctly for so much dust coming into the room (I never had the windows open). To move out, don't expect your deposit back. I was moving out early, they refused to hold an earlier walkthrough of the apartment with me to let me know in person if they were going to assess damages. I wasn't going to be in the state at that time THEY wanted to hold the walkthrough, they said nothing they could do, but they assured me that as long as there are no extensive damages like holes in the wall I'd be able to get my deposit back. I handed my keys into the leasing office so I had no access to my apartment for almost a month before they finally send me a final bill saying that they had to clean the apartment because it was dusty, some lint in the dryer (yes, SOME lint in the lint trap) and they had to paint the apartment for the next tenant (I've lived in 5 different apartment complexes, none of them ever assessed me a painting charge to get the apartment ready for the next tenant). Obviously those charges magically amounted to a little over my deposit.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
I feel taken advantage of
March 18, 2017I seriously regret moving here and can not wait to leave. We were told when we moved in that the building still needed a few "finishing touches, like painting." What we weren't told is that "finishing touches" included four months of heavy construction noise every week day starting sometimes as early as 6:15 am. I feel so lied to. Additionally, the initial optimism that came with signing a lease in such a nice looking community quickly eroded as it became clear that absolutely everything was ...done cheaply. The washing machine destroys clothes while the dryer imparts unto them a distinct dead animal smell. The bathroom faucet is angled such that it sprays water onto the counter. The bathroom walls are unfinished, leaving a small gap between the wall and the floor, which didn't seem like a big deal until my wife and I came home to find hundreds and hundreds of ants pouring through that small gap and infesting our apartment. Management told us that pest control comes once a week, so we were asked to wait several days before anything could be done about the ant problem. As a result, every time we have had a bug problem (which was several times during the warmer months) we dealt with it ourselves at our own expense (despite paying a monthly pest control fee). The walls are thin enough that I can hear both the constant music that plays by the pool and my neighbors conversations. The list of problems goes on, but all of these issues are compounded by the exorbitant cost. The utility charges are out of control, certainly the highest my wife and I have ever paid. Our cost is routinely $300-500 dollars higher per month than we were led to expect. I strongly suggest to anyone thinking about leasing that they look elsewhere.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not all amenities are available
August 17, 2016Over all the community looks beautiful and the units are very nice, however due to the lack of customer service I am only giving this two stars. There are about 500 units available in this complex and only 100 units have been rented; the amenities are limited for the number of units, but for now it's working out. The construction is still going on so the community is very noisy. Lack of customer service from senior level operations directors, 'tenants should be thankful they have a roof over ...their head', direct quote from the Director of Operations Lack of setting accurate expectations. We moved in on July1st (first move in date) and were under the expectation all the amenities would be available (dog park and business center were the selling point). The pool, gym, and BBQ pits opened after three weeks from the move in date, however the dog park and business center at not available today. We paid full rent and were never given any credit for the inconvenience. However if you are a new resident there's a new promotion ( I did not receive this) offering first months free rent. Dog Park and Business Center are not available they are under construction No Guest Parking No wifi in GYM or common area Very tight parking spaces and you have to do a K (3-point) turn to get out of the parking garage 2 BBQ pits for 500 units Things that are awkward: The common room overlooks the pool which looks beautiful but the functionality of it is a bit odd. In order to get to the pool from the common room you have to go around the entire common area to get from the pool and must have a key to get in. As you can imagine it can become a bit of a pain if you want to have a couple people over. You'll need a key each time you want to get to the bathroom or common room from the pool. The stairs can only be used if you want to go to the outside to the street level of the building. You cannot enter the garage from the stairs. You have to use the elevators to get to your unit and if you want to get into the garage. The apartment across the street has been shooting the building with a BB gun. Very scary, since the damaged of a window, security was placed around the building. Side Note: There's an additional charge for a parking space and bike parking.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
