Highly Do Not Recommend!
July 27, 2023Want to live in a place that is constantly noisy, constant projects on the buildings, water getting turned off at least once a month, dog and trash everywhere, and the build of your apartment being awful? Boy is this the place for you! This has got to be probably the worst place I have ever lived. I do not recommend living here. There is no enforcement of rules. There are tons of dogs that are on the restricted breed list that residents owned and nothing was said to them. As soon as it came to ...any dog that “slightly” looked like a pit mix they immediately get reported. What about the other restricted dogs on the list that live there? The entire place smells like poop and urine. The apartment construction is awful! It is never quiet during the days (good luck relaxing on days off or if you work nights). The actual build of the apartments is awful! Such a poor and cheap build for how expensive the rent is. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone!Property Manager Responded
August 3, 2023Hello. Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We apologize for any noise projects in our community or around us may be causing. This is a vibrant area that is being improved upon regularly and construction noise is a side effect of this. We certainly do not want to turn water off to our residents unless we have to and some plumbing projects will require this. We appreciate your patience as we will do our best to keep water outages as short as we can. We must be ADA compliant when it comes to Emotional Support Animals and Service Dogs. The restricted breeds you are seeing are approved dogs in service to their owners. Otherwise we do enforce dog restrictions on certain breeds. I am unable to locate your information in our customer records to get an opportunity to look into your feedback more specifically. Please contact me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com so we can assist further. We look forward to hearing from you. - Susan

Horrible cleanliness and response
May 24, 2021The manager Christy will give an attitude with any work thrown her way. Residents do not clean up after their dogs. The apartment is not cleaned or taken care of before moving in, my shower was un caulked, the cabinets have mold on the bottom, and there is a bug problem from day 1. I had to spray for ants and eat worms. Even though we pay a pest control fee. I have had to spray 4 times in the past 6 months, there has to be a hole in the foundation somewhere letting them in. Any word of this to ...Christy however, gets no response or a sassy response at best.Property Manager Responded

There are better options in the area. Don't rent here
February 17, 2020The apartment itself is fairly average, but there are a handful of reasons I feel this establishment is deserving of one star. First and foremost, you will never get your security deposit back. They will make sure that as many charges as possible are tacked on upon leaving as possible to ensure they either keep the entirety of your deposit or generate additional fees; cleaning charges of $125, painting charges of $80, "services" charges upwards of $150 are collected regardless of the condition ...the apartment is left in. This is not personal opinion either; the staff told us upon leaving that there were no ways avoid these fees. Furthermore, the apartment is very noisy. There is a train and busy road right next to the apartment, and people driving around the parking lot with load music late at night. Parking is also sub par. If you're not paying for a covered spot, don't expect to find parking on the property after 10PM; you'll have to park in a public parking lot and walk about half mile back to your place. In comparison to the other options in the area, I don't see any reason to chose this apartment complex.Property Manager Responded
March 18, 2020Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I apologize that you had a negative experience at our community. May you please email me at ICanHelp@aimco.com and provide me with your name and contact information? We’d like to address your frustrations. -Wendy

March 20, 2020Hello Josh, I wanted to circle back with you regarding your feedback! All additional charges or fees are provided and mentioned in the lease agreement. Certain monthly expenses do vary for everyone, this depends on apartment home size, number of occupants, and usage. We make sure to address all charges and fees with customers prior to signing the lease agreement. Here at our community we take a standard approach in billing utilities and they are done so in arrears. Utility charges typically show up two months after move-in, therefore at the time of moveout you may see up to 2 months of utilities applied to your final balance. We are conveniently located near a Sprinter light rail station and Highway 78 which is an advantage for our resident commuters. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced regarding nearby noise. If you have any further questions or concerns, we are happy to discuss them with you. Please reach out to us at ICanHelp@aimco.com or the Island Club leasing ...team! -Wendy

Worst apt I've lived in. Highest I've paid. Furthest from Beach. Terrible!
June 26, 2018I moved from Santa Monica, expecting to pay less for more. I've gotten less for higher cost! Island Club is truly a bait-and-switch. I was outright told lies by the rental agent I dealt with. (Internet access in all public areas, heated pools, dog friendliness, etc.) On top of the annoyance of walking through puddles all of the time from overactive sprinklers, the grass is drowned and the water bills are ridiculous. For a 1 bdrm with 2 full time employed, conservative users, our water/trash bill ...is over $75 every month, on top of the rent...plus another $25 for the parking spot you need to pay for, unless you want to still pay $10, and have no parking after 9pm any night..ANYWHERE IN THE COMPLEX. I was told that we could park ACROSS THE 4 LANE OCEANSIDE BLVD at the TRAIN STATION if we don't find a spot! Yeah, let me just walk for 15 minutes at 10pm in basically-Vista, alone, right. Water is often turned off, as well as power occasionally, noise made by unnecessary construction is bothersome, while necessary construction projects are neglected. Just, don't.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Awesome apartments
April 23, 2018We have lived in this complex for almost a year and we LOVE it! The maintenance staff responds within a day and the staff in the leasing office are always kind and prompt. We use the pool and gym areas a lot and they are both well kept and always in order. The apartments themselves are perfect - spacious and with plenty of storage space inside. We got lucky choosing this complex and will definitely be renewing our lease again this year. Highly recommend.Review from Apartments.com
Love this place!
April 19, 2018This has been a great place to live, and being military they we're lovely in working with us to get us an apartment fast when we had no where to go. I have a great relationship with everyone at the leasing office, and haven't had any major problems, and we've been here for over a year now. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you're military and not wanting to live on base. Plus, they have AC, and with my home town being up North a couple states it's nice to not roast in my ...apartment! Anyways, I'll wrap up saying it's a nice place to live, and affordable considering the areas we're located in! -KaylaRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE
December 12, 2016DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! This Apartment Complex is horrible!! The parking is first come first serve so no residents have a reserved spot. If you work night time you will drive around the entire apartment complex trying to find a spot until 4 am and then sleep in your car for fear of getting towed. The water is also terrible! It is off at least once a month for a day or more. Really inconvenient! For how much this place charges, you would expect more than just nice looking trees and layout. On top ...of that if you complain and hope for a solution to your problem, think again. The management will give you a handful of excuses then basically tell you that they can't do anything for you! DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR COMPLAINTS!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible experience
November 8, 2016Don't waste your money here. Way better options in Oceanside for same or less rent. Impossible to get ahold of and unwilling to work with you. Parking is near impossible and if you get home after 7pm goodluck parking anywhere might as well find a parking spot across the street at the train station and walking. Also don't have friends over because they'll get towed for not having a parking pass since they can't provide enough parking for people that live there let alone guests. Glad to be gone.Review from Apartments.com
Terrible Service
September 22, 2016Just moved from these apartments. The apartments themselves were nice, however our experience following our move out has been terrible. Our refund for our security deposit was very small, and when we tried to have all of the charges explained, we were given the run around from the corporate office. Several of the charges were unexplained, and the charges were well out of reasonable range for the problem. They refused to give us paint samples so that we could paint over things ourselves, and ...the painting charges are far too expensive for a small apartment. I do not recommend that you live here, especially if you are military.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Love it here
November 28, 2015I love this place. Quiet, clean and I had a service request with 4 items that needed fixed, and they came out right away. The maintainance person was fast and courteous. The gym is clean, pool areas are immaculate. Very happy here. Thanks.Review from Apartments.com
so far so good
October 9, 2015I've recently moved in, and so far everything is well. The gym area is great, lots of equipment to use, and it's air conditioned. I take my baby in her stroller, park her next to me and do my thing. Parking, though you have to pay for it, is fine. Haven't had any problems with that. I haven't used the pool areas, but I like the idea of having three pools to choose from. The staff is really friendly and helpful.Review from Apartments.com
