Well Maintained
February 7, 2018It's 2018 now, and I've lived at Kauhale Olu 1 for 20 years. It's had its ups and downs depending on incoming/changeover managers, but overall I would give it a B maybe A-compared to other low-income facilities. The staff is very friendly.It all, and responsive to maintenance concerns. depends on which apartment area you are in and your nearby neighbors, which come and go. The management keeps the facility well maintained, and I love the grassy park like areas for all the little kids to play and ...have fun. I feel over all it is a safe community compared to ones in Hilo, otherwise I would have left a long time ago. (I'm now a senior citizen.) It's in a nice rural environment, only 15 mins. to Hilo town. The public Hele On bus line comes up Kumula St. several times a day comes makes two stops on Kumula St. at the complex in case your car breaks down or you don't have one. They also have several 2 bedroom ADA certified apartments with wheel chair ramps and special indoor features for those physically disabled people who need them.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
