Great Apartment in Midtown KC /Great for Couples, Roommates, or Family
October 5, 2021This apartment is lovely and the landlords are awesome. The apartment building is kept clean and the manicured lawn is wonderful. The apartment itself is large and has fantastic amenities, including central AC, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Plus, it is located in a central area near Westport, Nelson Art Gallery, and other lovely Midtown spots. We never heard any noise whatsoever and enjoyed getting to know all the lovely tenants.Review from Apartments.com
Love this place!
September 16, 2021Living here has been amazing. The landlords are both so sweet and take such good care of us. Any problems we have had they come to fix it as soon as they can. As for the noise we have has no problems sleeping or hearing the people above us. The place is very spacious and beautiful. There is even a great park across the street for kiddos. Would absolutely recommend this place!!Review from Apartments.com
My favorite home away from home in KC yet
September 16, 2021Not only is the design and layout of this apartment beautiful, but on our move in day we were welcomed with wine, snacks and flowers. The landlords are the most down to earth couple that always check-in to see how you are acclimating and if anything needs to be fixed/updated. This property is the best home away from home i have lived in since living in Kansas City. HIGHLY recommend renting as you will not be disappointed!Review from Apartments.com
peace and quiet? try again
June 29, 2021Living here was a terrible experience. I’m a dental student and had to navigate doing school online and study a lot at home. First of all, the insulation at this place is the worst I’ve experienced by far. I could hear whispers from roommates through closed doors across the property, but the worst part was the insulation from the upstairs neighbors. If you live here and especially in a first floor unit, you will hear every footstep from above turn into what sounds like an earthquake. You will ...hear every pee and poop the upstairs neighbors make. When I complained to the management about the noise and provided proof, the answer I got was to communicate with the upstairs neighbors. The noise was so incredibly unbearable that most nights I had to stay at a friend’s house to get any sleep or keep my sanity. They also have a rule that let 100 pounds or less dogs live above you when a normal maximum is 35-40. We could hear the clickity clack of paws and barking at all hours of the day and night and it sounded like a safari routinely from the animals running around all the time. At one point, the sprinklers were left on during mid-November which soaked the steps leading up to the front door and I fell down the stairs, where I fractured my arm (they offered medical coverage). The entry keypad often became disabled and the landlord had to scale our porch to get us inside. The cables bent when he climbed over and they attempted to charge us for it. At the end, we were charged over $500 out of our $2125 deposit for normal wear and tear and cleaning fees when the place was left spotless after we had been on our hands and knees washing the apartment. If you want to keep sane, don’t move in here. I looked forward every day to my lease ending.Property Manager Responded
September 11, 2021We are sorry that you feel this way. We enjoyed having you and your roommates as tenants and did everything we could to be responsive to any requests/questions that you had. This is the only complaint of this nature that we have ever received but we will keep your feedback in mind. If memory serves when you did slip and fall we brought over a home cooked meal(s), sent you a $100 grub hub gift card and a get well package. This of course is in addition to immediately contacting our insurance company to cover your medical expenses. With regard to pets / animals, the dog(s) living above you were emotional support animal(s). They had all of the necessary documentation including a letter from the patient’s physician. As for the condition of the unit that we received upon your departure, an itemized and detailed invoice was provided to you and your roommates. Additionally, an itemized repair cost schedule for painting / cleaning / maintenance and make ready was provided in your initial ...lease. I have a copy of your signature on the repair cost schedule. I could post that here if you would like a copy? Again, I am sorry if you did not enjoy your stay with us, we did enjoy having you.
