Terrible Management Company
December 4, 2019I lived here for a year in 2018-2019. I will begin with positives: -Nice location, very convenient and always felt safe -Very reasonable rent, with a nice updated unit -Did not have many problems with things breaking down or malfunctioning, and when problems did occur they were fairly quickly resolved Negatives: -The management company is terrible, and I had a number of interactions that were at a minimum frustrating, and often borderline rude and deceptive on their part. They will often ...change what they have initially assured you, to claim they never said any such thing (until, of course, I provided physical proof of their statements in writing). Company representatives were quite rude with me in conversations on multiple occasions, right from the beginning of my time there and then never really improved. -They will tow you (and any guests) at the drop of a hat, even if you are a resident legally parked in your building's lot, it is quite ridiculous (this did happen to a resident who was legally parked and still got towed). -The parking situation was entirely outrageous. Never enough free "open parking" spots for residents (or guests) creating parking shortages quite literally all the time (especially in winter), yet there was always an abundance of "cost to rent" parking spots that sat open and unused all year but were "off-limits". -Be prepared to be awoken at all hours of the night in the winter due to noisy bobcats plowing in the parking lot from about 1am-4am, very loud and disruptive. -Walls are pretty thin, easy to hear loud neighbors.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not a bad place to live
September 28, 2018I lived here for 6 years before recently relocating to another building ran by the same rental company. While some of the complaints listed may have happened, management has always been proactive with any concerns or maintenance request I had put in. The noise level can be a little higher at times since it is a smaller unit, however, I did not usually have an issue with noise in my time there. Rent did not go up several times a year as some reviews stated, that is false, or at least that did ...not happen in my situation. Did rent go up a few times in the years I lived there, yes, but there was always ample notification on this and was once a year if they happened. Parking lot can get messy but again the management has worked on fixing that...some of that is on the tenants. If you see something, say something! I know I voiced my concerns on the parking lot and other issues to management and they worked with me to try and improve my experience. Adding the fitness room downstairs was a nice addition too. In my years living there, I only had one light ballast go out, which was fixed quickly once I put the request in. Outside of that, nothing in my apartment broke/fell off/needed fixing...I did have a old style model, but with the older design, nothing broke, paint was fine, no plumbing issues. I would pay my rent in person every month, the front desk lady Kari is also very nice and professional...When the management and office staff can remember your name each time you talk to them, I really appreciate that. Makes me feel more comfortable with them. Overall, my 6 years there were good. Main knock was my apartment faced 694 but I got use to that over time and really only could hear it if the windows were open. Sure it can get a little noisy, parking lot can get a little messy as well as the laundry room, but there is only so much management can do (and that's if they know about it). This is apartment living, you have to expect some things when living with so many other people, hold your neighbors responsible for their actions and talk to management! Only reason I moved out is they wanted to remodel my apartment, in which they actually found me another place that I now love even more. For the price and the location, its not a bad place to live. I have enjoyed renting from Kleinman!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Can't wait to move
April 7, 2018The updated units look cute but things start breaking right away. Faucet handles, bathroom plumbing, toilet handle, etc. Also, maintenance will come in without any warning. Renters are noisy, walls are extra thin. Trash everywhere outside the building. I just want people to know what they're getting into.Review from Apartments.com
Don't be fooled by the photos
March 28, 2018Moved in about 5 months ago, and the apartment looked great for about maybe 1-2 months. After that, paint started chipping, closet doors became loose, bathtub is also chipping, and our door handle literally fell OFF atleast 3 times now... they do a good job of temporarily covering damage so that it looks nice, but the quality is horrible. Best part is that they announced a random inspection to ensure that the apartments are in good condition... we were thinking our closet doors would get fixed, ...as well as broken light fixture in the kitchen, door handle etc)... only to come back home to the inspection form saying there are unauthorized tenants living in our unit because my brother left his shoes here. Lol what a joke! Inspection or just snoopy landlords? Please don't waste your time on this place, were already looking to break the lease. Parking lot is always a disaster, snow plow hit one of the other tenants car, and it was there for weeks on end..how does nobody notice? Makes you wonder if the cameras they have set up outside really work. I just wouldn't recommend this place at all.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don't be fooled by the name
November 21, 2017My wife & I lived here for ~3 years. It's difficult to think of many positives, but here's our experience summed up. Pros- Was cheap for the first year or so. Close to Long Lake Regional Park. Easy access to 694 and 35W. Cons- Rent increased several times a year. Extremely limited parking space that becomes impossibly limited in the winter. Front row parking spots were "reserved" for an extra monthly cost and not explained upon moving in. If you didn't buy a front row parking spot, your ...car would likely be towed once the lot maxed out. Several maintenance requests were ignored and never resolved. Maintenance requests that were "repaired" were often temporary repairs. Little to no warning given upon entry of our unit for miscellaneous maintenance, tours, etc. Heat wasn't turned on until late fall after it got quite cold. Lots of plumbing issues from minor to...very major. Plowing was typically late when it would snow overnight, making getting out of the lot quite challenging.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
