Nightmare Rental - AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Management is negligent, maintenance never comes to fix your issues, the units are severely overpriced, there are pests, it’s just an awful experience living here. The water for the units also is inconsistently heated, so you will have the heat set to one particular setting and then the water will oscillate from scalding hot to freezing cold. Management refuses to take accountability or apologize for any issues with the building. They never communicate. Miserable experience.

Horrible place to live

As of 11/2023, they have turned this place into a dormitory for the IIT students. They are college kids and nasty. They have destroyed the laundry room. This complex has no security. Yes, they hired security, but they spend so much time outside talking loud, having their boyfriends coming to the job trying to fight. They will not update your apartment until you leave. Cars in the parking lot is constantly being broke into. If your are a college student, yes, this is a place for you. ...
However, if you are an adult and take your living space serous, do not move here. My lease is almost up and I can’t wait! Lastly, management is not your friend unless you are a college student.

Poor management and high prices

Do not fall in this.No management and security for the buildings, the cars in parking lot shared between more than 600 units which your paying for kept being damaged or stolen and no security is responsible for that and they do not care. My car and also four of my friend’s car were damaged for Catalytic converter theft and all of us reported that and still they do not put a fixed security car in that parking lot. The prices are so high and is goes much higher for no reason every year.

Overpriced and poorly managed

First off, all the maintenance people are incredible. I have no qualms with them. The units do not come with air conditioning. Every apartment I've lived in that doesn't have central AC have provided their own window unit, except for Lake Meadows. They will also charge you $100 to install your own AC because you're not supposed to do it yourself for whatever reason. Heat starts blasting throughout the whole building the second it hits 50° and doesn't shut off until summer. Even though you can ...
adjust the valve so there's less heat coming in, it never worked well enough and we found that we had to run our AC unit when it was in the single digits in the dead of winter otherwise the apartment would be boiling. Residents who lived there for decades before Draper and Kramer took over moved out because of rent hikes and other issues. They will squeeze every last drop of money out of your wallet. Water and electricity would shut off randomly and without warning. Do not move here.

One star for location

This place is horrible. They never answer their phone, have so many cockroaches and bed bugs. I never had roaches or bed bugs and since I moved here it’s become a reality and it’s so nasty. They also don’t change the carpet when you move in. Don’t do it.

Worst management
July 3, 2020
Management is never available. I have been calling them since March and till this day, i can't get a call back. before moving in, it was not known to me that they didn't have AC. Since i moved in December. I didnt't even pay attention to that. This Place is SUCKSSSSS SUCKSSSS SUCKSSSSSS. Poor management, False expectations, and lying leasing consultant.

This property is very poorly run

Nobody is available to take calls. All one gets are recordings with numerous numerical choices from which to choose. It doesn’t matter which one is chosen, you STILL WON’T reach anybody.!! They’ll call you out of the wahzoo to impose a fine or a bill or to tell you about a decrease in service, but they are never available when you need to speak with them. They used to be so much better than this their service really SUCKS!!!

Unprofessional management

Rude

I was planning to rent an apartment here. I even went to the leasing office to discuss as the prices kept increasing on their website for the studio apartments over a month. I was considering this as one of the cheaper places to rent in Chicago. After visiting the leasing office, It was clear that they are not interested in renting the apartments ( Maybe they are experimenting how long it takes to go bankrupt with the rude attitude despite empty apartments). I met few residents who stay here and ...
was convinced to not consider this option. Below are few points: 1. The corridors smell horrible - There is a rotten Garbage smell everywhere 2. APARTMENTS HAVE NO AIR CONDITIONING: A guy at leasing office told me that IF there is some empty box in the apartment for A/C, you can buy A/C and they will charge you $100 just for installation. If there is no box, then they will charge you much higher than that ( Seems it depends on your luck!) 3. I read on their website that they waive off $400 admin fee for new residents- leasing office guy acted like he had no clue what I was talking about and rudely replied if I was visiting right website. 4. Heard from residents that leasing office rarely answers calls or emails.
