  • I love this complex

    The amenities like the tennis course playground dog park and can’t forget the pool are all kept well and are very good additions for this complex. Whenever something needs to be fixed it is done in a orderly fashion and right away. Also I can’t forget about the people upfront they are all great and they ACTUALITY LISTEN!!!!!! I love this place!!!!!!!

  • Multiple Year Tenant, Pros and Cons...

    Having lived here for many years, I have had enough time to give a decent perspective of this apartment complex. I will list my Pros and Cons below. Pros: Nicely kept, quiet, crime-free environment. They recently replaced the toilets in all apartments. The management and maintenance is attentive, timely and friendly. They recently repainted all buildings. All blacktop, pavement and cement is well kept. About 2 years ago they started shoveling the snow and salting all walkways. Summers are quite ...
    beautiful here with the very well kept grounds. The pool area is kept very nice in the summer. The gym is kept clean, and they have lots of nice and working elliptical and treadmill machines as well as some weight lifting equipment. Its walking distance to the Kroger grocery store, Aco, coffee shop and different fast food. Cons: The water quality is horrible. Do not plan on using the dishwasher as the water is so hard. The water stinks up the dishwasher and Multiple cleanings do not help. The new toilets already have permanent stains from the water and CLR wont even touch them. Another interesting detail is that if the 'clean' toilet is not flushed often, an oily film forms on top of the water and it has an iridescent look to it. Very strange. I would absolutely NOT drink the water or feed it to pets. And definitely buy a filter for showering in it. I mentioned the water issue to maintenance and they said that it comes from a local community well and that there is nothing they can do. I also learned from maintenance that they used to have water softener systems but they did not know why they got rid of them. My suggestion is to purchase professional filter systems if you decide to live here for any period of time. The Exterior of the buildings could have used alot of trim and siding replacement before being repainted. Interiors definitely need to be updated. They have popcorn ceilings. Kitchens are outdated. Plastic Blinds are so old that they crack VERY easily. Bathrooms are outdated. Tubs are very old. All doors, handles and exterior locks need to be updated/replaced. My final gripe is of course the price. The latest yearly increase was rather large and a bit unexpected. I hope that the yearly increase goes back to normal. With the coming market & real-estate correction, rental prices will hopefully follow suit.

Our water does come from a community well, and while it is hard water, it's shown no known adverse health effects and is safe for consumption. Also, if you could shed some light on the door locks, we would greatly appreciate it as we do not have any open issues with door locks, and we consider that an emergency and would attend to it right away. We hope to learn who you are and work with you more closely- your satisfaction is important to us.

  • Absolutely perfect home

    Just moved in this week (2021) and staff is amazing and very helpful/friendly! Made moving in quick and easy! Apartments are VERY spacious and have great layouts! Maintenance is fast to answer and also very friendly. Love the dog park and how quiet the complex is. Can’t hear through walls at all and feels just like a nice large condo! Love it here!

  • Great Place to call Home!

    I have been living here for one year and I absolutely love it here. this complex is located right in the middle of all types of shopping venues, so it’s easy access and quite a few choices. The grounds are Well kept and it’s quiet in the day and at night. The staff is both professional and efficient in addressing any concerns. It’s definitely a safe place to call home... and it’s very scenic!

  • Smoking Community

    They take pride in being a SMOKING COMMUNITY! So if you have small children, as I do, or care anything about your health you may want to reconsider living here. We moved in Jan 13th and our apartment reeks of cigarette smoke every evening from our neighbors smoking indoors making my daughter and I cough constantly and there is nothing they care to do about it because again, they are NOT A SMOKE FREE COMMUNITY! They will not warn you of this before you move in either.

    I have been a resident of Lancaster Hills for over 8 1/2 years and have enjoyed the amenities and open land concept here with rolling land. The landscaping is well manicured and area is keep clean with plenty of trash dumpsters that are emptied weekly. My grandchildren love using the swimming pool with myself and the basketball court. I use the workout area with dry sauna for workouts. Maintenance has always been polite and repaired any home repair issues I have needed. The apartments are right ...
    off Dixie road that has plenty of businesses and restaurants plus we are a mile from downtown Clarkston. Lancaster Apartments is a wonderful place to call home.

    I'm a current resident at lancaster lakes.. and i'll briefly describe my first 4 months.. very first day... we moved in did not have hot water... face plates were all miss matching, asked about getting all matching ones.. they said we will talk to whoever about it.. never heard anything again. moving forward, had some work orders put in.. we had an A/C probably that took 6 weeks to fix.. due to miscommunication or lack of knowledge.. our A/C was reaching temperature .. but not shutting off for ...
    hours after it reached temperature...some days our a/c would run for 8-10 hours a day constantly.. i would say this in the work order.. but they would continuously put a/c working properly.. well yeah i understand its working properly, but it won't shut off. so finally after 6 weeks of going back and forth.. they replaced it and now it works perfectly fine, no problems what so ever. Were told we would have brand new appliances (fridge, stove, washer, dryer) clearly that was not the case either.. our dishwasher barely works, our stove is 25 degrees less than what you pre-heat it to. washer and dryer are fine. None of these appliances are energy efficient appliances. So all in all, maintenance could be a little better.. Besides some of the problems we've had.. we live in a really quiet area... our neighbors are super nice and friendly, the ever changing staff is always friendly and the manager is super nice and easy to talk too. overall love living here besides some of the hassle we have had..

  • Don't Come here if you are worth anything

    If you work 9-5, and actually put effort towards life so you want to sit quietly at night when you get home, don't live here. There are loud people everywhere who have no understanding of hours in addition to that. If you live at a further apartment, you will be run over even driving 5 over the complex speed limit because the residents generally seem to lack self control. Their office treats it like a business, not hundreds of people's place of living, so if it is not between 10am-4:30pm and you ...
    aren't standing in their office, they will ignore you, or simply not read their work e-mail. I'm highly confident you can take them to court on several shady things they do, but don't go to them to uphold the rules, they don't care. Also, don't get locked out, they won't help you even though there is a spare key. You better pay a locksmith and then hope you find your key, or leave your door unlocked. In general, if you want a quiet place, or place where people care about rules, look elsewhere. If you are the person breaking the rules, or like to look the other way instead of pointing out when something bad is happening, it will be home.

  • Nice Place to Live

    Located in a very beautiful and convenient area, near I-75, with many shops and restaurants around, but far enough from the noise and craziness of busy roads. The staff is amazing! they are very supportive and helpful when needed. The area we live in has very nice neighbours. The apartments are good in size, and some upgraded with new appliances, cabinets and carpet/floor. Nice and beautiful place to live.
