I lived at Laurel Village for two years. Just found out that Amazon delivered packages yesterday to that address rather than my new address. I called to see if they could check to see if my package might still be in the entryway as they always were when I lived there. Response: We are too busy to do that!

  • STAY AWAY

    June 19, 2024
Good location, ok price (for the first year ONLY). That is where my list of good things ends. Read the bad reviews and believe them! Management is not helpful and rude. Guest parking sucks. The apartments literally fall apart more and more everyday to the point where you no longer want to call maintenance cause they will be in your home EVERY DAY. Plus the last time they were in my apartment they were supposed to fix something on the main floor yet EVERY SINGLE light was on I’m my apartment and ...
that is the only utility they make me pay for. - Never called maintenance again, just living in a broken down apartment. Can’t wait to get out. Do waste your time out your money - it’s 100% not worth it!
    • Property Manager Responded

      June 25, 2024
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. You’re right, often apartments can offer attractive move-in specials. These specials are geared toward new residents as a one-time marketing investment to help them justify packing up their belongings and going through the cost and stress of moving to a new apartment complex. The hope is that they will remain residents for many years after that. So while we aren’t able to extend this special to renewing residents, we still want to do what we can to make sure they are getting exceptional long-term value by keeping rents as competitive as possible without sacrificing the value and services offered. Our dedicated maintenance and management teams play a crucial role in retaining long-term residents, and we are sorry to hear that we may have fallen short of your expectations. We acknowledge that all residential properties experience unexpected maintenance issues, and it's important to us that we fully understand the specific incidents ...
you have encountered. The good news is that Laurel Village covers the cost of almost all repairs and has an amazing maintenance team to resolve them as quickly as possible. If you have not experienced this level of service, we would like to hear about it and address any further concerns you may have.

  • High on promise, Low on delivery

    June 18, 2024
I moved from out of state and when I was talking with the agent they never once mentioned that due to construction the amenities in my building would be closed for 6 months of my lease. That's crooked in my book. They have a beautiful sundeck, That you are not allowed out on if it lightly sprinkles rain and they close access to whenever there is a parade. They talk about the movie theater and movie night as well as game night. Game night is always Bingo so bring your grandma vibes and the movie ...
picks are all done by one person with horrible movie taste. Priced high for all of the failures. The first week I lived here there were several thefts in the secure garage and when I have scheduled guest parking for visitors the unprofessional security staff has parked in the reserved spacing causing me to have to call in and get other parking arranged last minute. The Air Conditioning in the entire building has been out for days in the middle of summer and any communication on the community wall bulletin board they offer is heavily censored and any criticism of the operation of the property is redacted. Its a beautiful property with an excellent location but is poorly managed and maintained. The office staff is always friendly but I will definitely not be renewing my lease.
    • Property Manager Responded

      June 25, 2024
Thank you for your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the building renovations and amenity closure in the Hennepin Crossing Highrise. The renovations offer a new and improved building with state-of-the-art equipment and furnishings that rival those in new buildings being built downtown. For this reason, we hoped that residents would be ok using the other building’s amenities temporarily and that they would feel the inconvenience was worth it in the long run. We are now in the final phase of the renovations, which includes the entry lobby, then our beautiful new building will be complete! Regarding the outdoor patio, access has been limited due to safety concerns we have encountered. For example, the rooftop patio was closed during parades because the street below is not visible without climbing onto the elevated planter beds and peering over the edge, which is extremely dangerous. For the safety of our residents, the only viable option is to temporarily restrict access ...
to this area. We welcome your suggestions for resident events and movie selections, as we are always looking for new ideas to appeal to a diverse spectrum of residents. We currently host over 100 events annually. We hope you will reconsider and renew your lease. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. We want you to be happy in your home and feel that you are in the right place.

  • Management is awful

    August 11, 2023
Property management communication is just not present. If you plan to apply and have any questions regarding the property, good luck. Their email responses are uninformative and robotic, despite taking about an entire work week to respond. The struggle to communicate with them will be something you have to live with if you consider this place your home.

  • Terrible maintenance

    September 1, 2022
The central has been broken since August 22nd . We are now in September !!! Do not waste your time moving here . It has been in the 90s for the past few days and they can’t even get us bottled water but canceled the movie showing so they don’t have to be in the heat . Very slow to fix . They have not offered resident fans or reimbursement for fans . A mouse has also been in the parking lot for weeks and no one has removed it .

  • Dirty!

    January 25, 2022
My apartment was disgusting when I moved in. Dust was caked on the blinds and door hinges more than 2 inches thick. There was dog food and ants behind my stove even though management said an animal had never lived in the unit. Everything smelled like urine. Also, the hallway constantly smells like marijuana and the smell has started to fill my unit too. The price is nice for what you get and there are some nice amenities, but I wouldn’t recommend. Also, there aren’t any cameras in the hallways so ...
even when a tenant was being anonymously harassed by another tenant management could not help with identification. That said, I’ve had mostly pleasant interactions with management and have had all work orders fixed in a timely manner.

  • Better is out there

    November 6, 2021
Pros: Management team generally responsive, good (not great) apartments, several options for paying rent, community events, responsive maintenance team, free guest garage parking (albeit, extremely limited). Cons: •swimming pool basically useless if you don't live in that building because it's too small to comfortably fit more than one person/couple, and you don't know if someone is already there before you get over there. •Crappy gym. •Security is only for looks (they don't do anything and ...
basically say "idk what you want me to do about it" when you call them.) •They messed up my key fob when I moved in on a Friday and I couldn't park my car in the the garage I paid for until Monday and just HOPE my car didn't get towed. •It's supposed to be a smoke-free community, but it literally ALWAYS smells like cigarettes AND marijuana in the hallways. •Walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbor talking on the phone...and also the person on the other line. •Speaking of loud, if anyone else is running water, there is a high-pitched sound coming from the pipes in the walls the entire time. •Barely any kitchen storage space. •They have bike storage, but it's so crowded it's almost not even worth trying to get your bike locked up, because it's not happening. •SUPER hard water that's hard on my hair and skin. I looked up the model number for my dishwasher, and it was made in the year 2000. •I have seven windows in my apartment, and six of them face my neighbor's widows. •The lock for the dumpster is messed up, so it's extremely difficult to open, and other residents just leave their trash on the ground. •It's near a busy road so you hear honking all day and night. •It's also near the interstate, so you hear people revving their engines. I think I've made my point.

  • Poor security and poor management approach

    February 11, 2021
The maintenance and cleaning staff are wonderful but be sure to read your lease thoroughly. There is no way to break your lease or sublet in any way. This company is based on profits, not taking care of their tenants. My storage unit was also broken into, so the buildings are not secure.

Maintenance takes a long time to show up, and closes work orders when they don’t feel like completing them. I had a wasp infestation that they ignored for a month - I ended up having to sleep with a towel covering the bottom gap on my bedroom door.

  • Not Worth It

    October 17, 2018
The property management is awful to work with. They do not care about their residents needs or concerns. They’re drones that stick to a script and are unacommodating in every situation. The security is also a joke. They’re rarely seen and when they are, are too busy stopping guests from coming upstairs after they’ve been buzzed in, to stop people from vandalizing cars in the parking lots. The location is NOT worth the hassle this comes with. The cleaning and maintenance staff however are very ...
kind and good at their jobs.

  • Not my #1 choice

    August 30, 2017
The location was pretty great. However Hennepin is starting to attract some shady characters so I didn't really feel safe walking to most things from that location. There were recently some break ins to cars in the garage which wasn't great either. Also, the management company the wasn't great. Any time we had to work with them they were hard to deal with. They mostly treat you like you're a dumb college kid in a dorm or something. They lost some of my paperwork one time and tried to say ...
it was my fault, luckily I'd kept my copy! The maintenance workers and desk workers were all super nice though.

  • anywhere but here

This place is shady and I should have trusted my gut. Their apartments are dingy, dirty and under-maintained. They engaged in bait-and-switch by showing an apartment supposedly identical to the available units (since available units are not available for viewing because it is occupied). My units weren't properly cleaned, the carpet was atrocious and broken blinds were replaced. I felt like I was moving into a slum building. I literally broke out in hives during the short time of my move. ...
When I reached out to the property manager, their expectation is on the tenants to make all possible accommodations and concessions: Can I move all my stuff out so they can clean the carpet? Can I take off work because "some conversations must be in person"? There is not an ounce of human decency, understanding and remorse coming from the property management. Long story short, I would have been better off camping in the woods and burned my money for warmth than choosing this dump. This place is hazardous to your health.
