Used to be Great
April 16, 2023Used to love loving here, but this place just is not what it used to be anymore. Neighbors are noisy all hours of the morning/ night and management will not even acknowledge. Packages being stolen. Had leak in roof that they kept telling me was fixed but took multiple calls to get resolved. Can't wait for this lease to be up.Property Manager Responded

Not what it was years ago
February 24, 2021We were so excited to live here at first. The location was perfect for both our commutes and local shopping. Recently however, the community has changed. We would have shared a better experience had the level of service for this community been more productive. Surface level issues are handled pretty easily, however, other situations take a bit more time, and for us, 2 years is a bit more than our patience can take. Response times from the office get longer and longer. New residents seem to ...benefit more from living here than long term residents. Often times they refer you to contact the non-emergency number outside office hours, however, after speaking with an LE representative, this is not accurate as they have to follow county ordinances before they can assist you. Under the right management and with the right maintenance team, this property would be hands down the best, unfortunately, they do not have the right team in place and are not leading at the level they advertise. PROs: Location, overall look of property, floor plans, W/D in unit, closets CONs: thin walls and floors, lack of insulation or noise cancelling materials, very COLD in winter, windows weep. Floors, doors, windows, and walls vibrate with neighbor activity, can hear neighbor conversations and sneezes. Multiple stress fractures in ceiling and dry wall screw punctures in walls, multiple water leaks. CON - contractors do not use painters tape, drop cloths, or finishing, zero follow up behind contractors/landscaping CON - drug activity in community, in units and parking lots. Vandalism/theft of personal property, zero security measures or follow up.Property Manager Responded

Terrible customer sevice
August 12, 2020Ended lease as a result of an unsafe area (vehicle break ins, etc) due to poor maintenance including refusal to repair broken lights. No customer service. Additionally I was charged for three consecutive water leaks as a result of negligent maintenance in the apartment. Stay away from this terrible place.Property Manager Responded

Overpriced Apartments with so many problems
June 18, 2019The apartment has recently had New Management and they have gotten stricter on the rules but nothing has changed. They have a Centipede infestation, cars have been being broken into, I just heard recently that there was a shooting. The windows are so cheap in the wintertime cold air just blows right through them. Bottom line, over prices apartments for what you get.Property Manager Responded

Renewal Lease.
June 16, 2019On June 14 I receive a message informing me my decision to stay or go will be tomorrow . I call the office and told me my increase was more that $100 because all around were I live the prices were more expensive. I told them I was needed the 90 days and after the 60 days I will decide. They said send Mr the new release in May .I when to check my mail and I found envelope with day June 06 and inside was the renewal dated May 31.they said try to contact me twice and I have only one message left ...from them. So I told her if you want to increase my rent you should give new appliances . she didn't want to that they just one I signed the next day. I ask her to give minimum 1 week to see around and to decide she said not. She has to treat everyone the same. Some tenants said they rise them only 20 other 25 .I am living here almost 4 years I a!ways receive the renewal lease and give them the renewal signed. But since the new managing is ever thing different. The manager and her assistant the young lady are not saying the true. Be careful if they want you go they will give you an increase of 10%..they just you sign and let you know when lease finish you have to pay more every Month. Lights outside are off in nights they didn't fix it. Around you can see people with big dog don't pick up after them..I chose this place because close to my job and store. That was my only reason.now I give them 1 start just because they people in charge they don't say the true and try to cover themselves with lies.Property Manager Responded

Chloe Edwards: Prospective Resident
January 29, 2019I toured Legends at Virginia Center yesterday, January 28, 2019. I walked in without an appointment. The leasing consultant, Adiya, I believe is her name. Adiya was personable in answering any questions I had and flexible when transferring my paperwork from a sister property to their property. What impressed me was the property manager, Katy(ie), also new, who was patient with me in going through several questions that I noted as a result of reading these reviews. The property manager was very ...compassionate in understanding that residents only have these reviews to go of off, and because I have read all 100 , I came with a list of questions and asked for clarification on the following aforementioned issues. Katy(ie)'s clarification was helpful, and thus far, I am satisfied with their customer service. Katy(ie) clarified resident/property management expectations in notifying maintenance on issues, the reality that properties do need maintenance, and it is my job as a resident to notify them of that in a timely manner, the parking pass "situation," and more! I think this is exceptionally helpful, so FYI: If you are a prospective resident, and you are looking for guidance and reading these reviews as I have, both glorious and not so glorious, simply give them a call! That's what they are there for, and the customer service has been awesome so far! Frustrated
August 3, 2018I would be leaving a good review of Legends, as my husband and I had a fairly enjoyable time living there, until we got our move-out bill. $800 in damages. I have lived in many apartments and have always gotten my security deposit back. $600 charge to replace the carpet in the entire apartment due to ONE pet stain in the corner of the dining room. $150 for holes in the walls from hanging pictures, curtains, etc. when our move-out instruction guide specifically said NOT to cover holes in the wall. ...When we called the central office to discuss the bill, we were told that we have to cover up holes larger than the size of a nail. We were following the move-out instructions and would have gladly fixed the issue had we been informed. We were also charged $35 for not cleaning the inside of the oven. Everything else was cleaned, I even bought new drip pans for the stove, but forgot to clean the inside of the oven in the chaos of moving. As advised, we set up a date and time to meet with an inspector to do the pre-inspection before the official one but the person never showed up. Then we asked the apartment office a week in advance if they could do the official inspection and walk through with us the day before we left, and they told us they would get back to us to confirm. They told us a couple of days before our moving day that they would not be able to walk through with us on the day we had asked. Like I mentioned previously, we did enjoy living here. The apartment complex is in a great location, the apartments themselves are clean and well-kept, and maintenance is wonderful.
