Renters Reviews and Ratings
rodent/student infested
September 7, 2018Many rodents running around and causing property damage. Appliances are cheap and break easily. Parking is a nightmare - there is a parking lot but don't expect to find parking there if you need to run out quickly. Water damage galore! Tenants are loud and the building is not conducive to a corporate career lifestyle.Review from Apartments.com
Worst experience ever -- DON'T RENT HERE
August 12, 2015This is, by far, the worst experience I have ever had when renting an apartment. The only good thing about this apartment is its proximity to Main Street/Manayunk. Maintenance/Management: There was a leak in my apartment. We called management repeatedly for months and were told a master mason would need to be brought in to fix the leak. Maintenance never reported this to management, and the mason was never brought in. Any time it rained, by roommate and I had to move all of our furniture and ...place buckets under the leak. Eventually, the leak became too large and buckets and towels were not enough -- this was especially true when it rained overnight. I have attached a picture of the leak. After 3 months with no progress, we were forced to contact a lawyer. After receiving a letter from our lawyer, the management office claimed they had no idea this was happening because maintenance did not make them aware of the situation. However, my roommate and I both went into the management office to report the issue several times when our phone calls were not returned. I have attached pictures. The leak was in two different places. Parking: Unless you arrive home to your apartment before 5:30 pm, you will never get a spot in the lot. Galman Group advertises parking on-site, but I guarantee you will be parking on the street the majority of the time. Also, people create their own spots so you will find yourself blocked in often. Garbage: There is a dumpster located in the parking lot outside of the complex. This is where you will take your garbage and recycling for pickup. Some months, garbage is picked up so infrequently that garbage and recycling will be overflowing from the dumpster. The smell is horrible. Noise: Neighbors are not quiet, and you will be able to hear everything. The entire time I have lived here, we have been able to hear the two tenants under me screaming at each other. On weekends our ceiling shakes from the parties in the apartment above ours. Staff: The staff is HORRIBLE. The take more than 24 hours to return any calls, even if you call during business hours. They never answer the office phone, so you always have to leave a message or go to the office. If you work normal 9-5 hours, it is near impossible to reach anyone. They also do not follow up on anything. For example, I am moving out in a few months and called to ask when my actual move-out date would be as well as to notify me that move-out instructions would be sent to me. After a monthRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don't do it!
August 19, 2015DO NOT RENT HERE! This is the worst experience I have ever had. My ceiling started leaking every time it rained so I called maintenance. They came and said a mason would have to fix the problem. After calling repeatedly after a mason did not come, the ceiling leak got so bad that there was mold. After calling a few more times with no results, my roommate and I contacted a lawyer to write to the Galman Group corporate office. THEN we got a response and a mason was at our apartment within the week. ...However, we had a leak with horrible mold all over out kitchen ceiling for three months and the only reason we don't right now is because we got legal help. Management is terrible here, and not just with maintenance requests. They also forgot to send us paperwork about moving out requirements and take more than 24 hours to return any messages -- even when you call during hours when the office is open. You will never get a response if you call the office. Also, although parking onsite is available, you will be lucky to get a spot if you arrive home after 5 pm or run an errand after that time. People also create parking spots, so be prepared to be blocked in. This is honestly the worst management ever and not worth the headache. DO NOT RENT HERE.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
A Place To Call Home!
July 21, 2015If you looking for a great location away from the hustle & bustle of city life then Leverington Court Apartments is the place to be. The apartments are nice, modern updates and private parking. Conveniently located to Ridge Avenue for shopping, several supermarkets, pizza joints and a movie theatre not far. Public transportation is convenient to Center City. There are like 2 cheesesteak restaurants less than 5 minutes away, I'm lovin' it, D'Alessandro's, Fiesta, bar/seafood and the seafood is ...awesome, yummy! One of the main natural attractions are the deers that sometimes are standing around ( love it), the horses at nearby stables and school. I have seen beavers and possums standing around enjoying to view. (LOL)and they don't bother you, I was able to take a pic of the deer's for my grandson who also enjoyed the horses. It is definitely a peaceful environment!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
