Rent Stabilized? Yes, please!
April 22, 2021For years, everyone I know wanted to find that rent stabilized unicorn in this city, which has become more and more elusive, so when we found this big spacious apartment that's close to all the trains, we just jumped on it. So far it's been great, no more walk ups (2 elevators), and no more dragging my laundry in and out thanks to a large laundry room right in the building, and you can't beat the rent. Also, I am no longer the dish washer, because now we have a real dishwasher in the apartment!Review from Apartments.com
Unsafe
November 1, 2020The building management refuses to listen to it's tenants in regards to fixing the ever-growing mold, sewage, mouse, and roach infestation. Management is also totally fine with the homeless population living in the parking lot that is supposed to be reserved tenants. Even with doormen, packages are regularly stolen because management decided to allow random construction crews access to the mailroom. People who do not live in the building, including but not limited to teens, drugs dealers, and ...homeless, can easily access the inside of the building without coming in contact with the doormen. Also none of the fire alarms work in the building. So when the building was literally on fire, no one knew about it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Good space, needs lots of help
October 8, 2015This is the best place to live for me, a less-than-solvent New Yorker. It is in the center of a vibrant community that is on the verge of great changes, halfway between Columbia University and The City College of New York, near Fairway and Whole Foods with many smaller markets dotting the scene. Many of the apartments in my building have balconies, and both subway and buses are easily accessible. Nearly 3 miles from midtown, this is a place where you can be in the city at will or take refuge ...from it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
It's been 15 years..
September 30, 2015I have lived here almost all my life and I can't say I've ever been unhappy with it. I live 6 blocks away from 2 major train stations and 4 blocks away from tons of restaurants and grocery stores. It's also about a 10 minute walk away from a major shopping strip! The security guards are always very nice and helpful. The parking lot downstairs is super convenient and its barely a fee when you think about having to move your car all the time in NYC streets! I can go out on my balcony any time for ...fresh air or a mini BBQ. Its really just a wonderful private building. It's like the shiny needle in a haystack full of regular ole' apartment buildings.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
