Condescending Management
May 24, 2016I have lived here for 5 years and things have really gone downhill. When I first moved in things were pretty laid back but the new management is kind of crazy. She wrote this long ranting newsletter calling the residents lazy for not picking up after their pets that was really condescending. In the same newsletter she announced they would be opening up a green space for resident below the complex and honestly I never even bothered to pick up a key because of how it was worded in the announcement ...it was like she'll be watching and waiting for you to misuse the space so she can fine you. Recently she issued a new parking policy requiring residents to get a parking pass so that we can start patrolling the lot as the neighboring complexes don't have enough spots and use our guest parking. Makes sense if every resident gets a pass, but they are only issuing 1 pass per apartment to correspond with your assigned spot so if my husband were to park in the spot he could get towed, or if he were to park to long in guest parking he would get towed. Basically it does nothing to correct the underlying issue of people taking up all the guest parking as long as they move the car everyday, which is a bit pointless. I could put up with a rude, condescending manager if I felt like I was even remotely getting what I pay for but this apartment is the worst. Starting from the very day we moved in, I was unpacking boxes and found that instead of cleaning out the cabinets or any of the walls/base boards they just painted over it all. I found half a bottle of Viagra that had been painted over in the kitchen cabinet. The windows are covered in paint and all the stripping around the base of the walls in the bathroom has come off. Last year the water heater in the bedroom started leaking and the maintenance guy had to come out and pull it out at 2AM when the people on the first floor got home and noticed it was leaking. The neighbor directly below us said they had noticed it about 5 hours earlier but just put a bucket under it! They took 4 days to replace the water heater and would not pay for a hotel so that we could shower, and then they just replaced the water heater and did nothing to fix the water damage in the floor and closet of that room. I've put in 3 requests now to have them come inspect it for mold and have gotten no response.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
