Worst Building Ever - Do Not Move Here
June 9, 2020This truly is the worst building I have ever seen. My Mother lives here. She has an old, unrenovated apartment and has been here for 4 years. First it was the bed bugs in 2016 2 months after she moved in. Then it was the cockroaches jumping out of kitchen cabinets. Also a bad mouse problem that keeps her up all hours of the night. Her apartment is clean. It’s the building. Not enough maintenance. Too many apartments. Landlord does not care.Review from Apartments.com
DO NOT COME HERE
February 25, 2020My husband and I moved into this apartment in September 2019 and are already looking for somewhere else to go. we hate it here! We have a renovated apartment, however our neighbors do not and we can literally hear everything that goes on through the walls. We are constantly having to kill roaches that come from the other apartments which is disgusting. It is obvious that there are many people on public assistance and drugs in these buildings as they are always in the store and in the hallways. ...The building looks dirty and is dirty. Many residents complain of having rats and bedbugs. Everyone here is angry, the last building council meeting was a joke and resulted in yelling and cursing. My husband and I left. They advertise a gym and all these amenities but do not mention any fees for them and not to mention construction is still going on. Our neighbors are constantly blasting music all hours of the night. If you are a working person don't even think you will be able to visit the management office because their office is only open 4 hours out of the day. The view from our apartment is amazing and that is it. Just please do not move here.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Rockaway Resident
March 31, 2017I moved in the Sand Castle nearly a year ago. This is the absolute worst building I've ever lived in. There are people begging for money in the hallways, ashing their cigarettes in the hallways the hallways wreak of Marijuana, elevators are never working (trust me you will get stuck in there). The walls and ceilings are unbelievably thin so therefore you hear everything your neighbors are doing. It's a nice building, great location, maintenance staff is super duper helpful, security as well. ...However the tenants (not all, but a fair share) are extreme drug and alcohol abusers, mentally ill and from homeless shelters. I would NEVER, NEVER recommend this building to my worst enemy. Building management is of absolute no help what-so-ever. This is THE WORST building in the Rockaways! If one is looking for an apartment on the water in Far Rockaway look elsewhere NOT HERE, TRUST ME!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
