Welcome to One Morris Apartments. We are located at the corner of Kanawha Blvd and Morris Street. We are centrally located close to all the beautiful sites of Charleston. Our apartments are updated, beautiful and have some of the best views on the east end. We have one and two bedroom units with furnished kitchens (stove, d/w and refrigerator). Rent includes: water/sewer/garbage (a savings of $210.00). The building has resident parking in the back of the building along with one of the most spectacular views from our roof top terrace. Dirty and Poor Service
May 21, 2024Very dirty and Poor Service. Not only their maintenance service but the management and building as a whole. Only quick to respond when u are trying to move in, but once u became a resident- its a headache! Packages are being stolen by other residents and management is doing nothing about it, cause of course CCTV in the lobby doesn’t work, and only 1 elevator is functional for almost 2 yrs already!Review from Apartments.com
Used to be a nice place to live
May 30, 2023Lived here for almost 4 years and was nice before new staff took over. They are rude and unhelpful; hot water comes and goes; internet connection is spotty; potholes in parking lot are hazardous; property filled with cockroaches, centipedes and gnats; fire alarm goes off constantly. Judging by the reviews I'm not the only one who is disappointed by the state of this property, which is reinforced when looking at the once full parking lot is half full- just more demonstrable evidence this place ...is run poorly in contrast to previous management.Property Manager Responded

September 29, 2022Old building, can't get maintenance, rude guy in charge now, new payment app can't get payment to the landlord for 3 days, unless you pay $15 extra. $40 if you have to use a debit card. CRAZY. Don't do it!Review from Apartments.com
Decent on the surface only
August 23, 2022I call these apartments faux-nice because when you look at them, they seem decent enough and not bad for the price. Then you get moved in and realize all the things that have had a band-aid put on them for appearances but quickly begin to break down. Maintenance would come, say they needed to get a tool or part and would be back, and you never see them again until you complain. Then there is always some excuse as to why it hasn't been fixed or they can't fix it. The elevators in an 8-floor ...building are constantly breaking and there are many older or disabled tenants that have trouble with stairs. Sometimes there is one working but there have been times tenants who cannot navigate stairs have been stuck in the lobby in the middle of the night. That pretty much sums up their "oh well" attitude towards tenants. They pretend to clean the halls and foyer, but the disgusting stench leads me to believe it's just a show. Speaking with other tenants, almost all of them are equally as frustrated but their situations leave them with no other choice but to stay. Perhaps they know this and figure they don't have to do their jobs well because people are stuck there. Those that do have the ability seem to leave after their first lease is up. Really going downhill
August 7, 2022You can tell these apartments used to be nice but the various owners and management companies have let them go downhill. Getting maintenance takes months if ever, the common areas are often filthy and smell bad, there is usually only one of the two elevators working, etc. The appliances including AC units are old and inefficient so the electric runs higher than you would expect. I think the good reviews on this site were written by employees. Many people move in and decide right away that ...they're not going to stay beyond the initial year.Property Manager Responded

January 20, 2021The apartments are spacious, well configured, clean & quiet, with spectacular views in an historic & safe, walkable & convenient neighborhood. The iconic & imposing mid-rise mid-century building is of solid construction & very well-maintained. The management & maintenance services are congenial, competent & very responsive. July 1, 2016We have been renting for almost two years now...apartments are older but nicely renovated. There is a great maintenance team available. The neighbors are quiet and friendly.
