    My family and I lived here for a few months while selling our previous home and searching for a new home. Our experience here was not that great. While all the staff are kind enough, I feel that communication is seriously lacking. As a tenant, this became very frustrating. We had nonstop maintenance problems, and communications between the staff and with us in getting these problems resolved were often very frustrating. I felt like I had to be proactive in getting in touch with the staff ...
    repeatedly and often just went directly to maintenance as I had come to know them well. I could have overlooked it all, but at the end we apparently owed the complex some money for our finals days of rent. When we closed out our lease we asked to make sure that we were good, and we were told that we were. Had we known we still owed money we would have paid it. Instead of trying to communicate with us on what we owed, we were sent straight to collections.Even if we were sent a letter to our forwarding address that we missed, I feel like further attempts to contact us would have been reasonable before just sending us to collections. Of course when I called to inquire about the collections letter we received, the staff seemed puzzled. Very frustrating. Additionally we had a storage unit here and we told the staff that we wanted to discontinue using it prior to our lease being up as we were done with it. We were told this was no problem as we did not have a lease on the storage unit. But we were still charged for it anyways. I did contact them about this, and they said they would be ok taking it off since it's just a small amount. I was glad they took it off, but it came across as if they were doing us a favor by taking it off when we had agreed to discontinue use and subsequent payment of the storage unit. Otherwise, the location of this apartment is certainly convenient to many businesses, bars, grocery stores, and 77. But I do not miss the traffic here. Convenient or not, it still took a long time to get places on the weekend because the traffic is so bad. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this complex to my friends. We chose it because of it's location and because the price for our short term lease was the best we found. I would pay a little higher to go elsewhere. Had this been a longer term lease, I would have been a lot more stressed living here.

      Thank you for sharing this review with us. I spoke with the community manager and when the instillation of the washer and dryer happened, there was a leak that ended up flooding the master bedroom and closets. Dehumidifiers and carpet care was sent out to assist with the leak. The maintenance team removed the drywall too just to make sure that the leak was fixed. Traffic unfortunately is bad during the I77 construction but our amenities sure do make up for it. -Amanda, Bell Customer Service

    After I sold my home of many years near Jetton Park, I moved into a loft-like one bedroom apt at One Norman Square. This is the ideal living community for people who like to walk to shops because everything is right here ! The park and the lake are within walking distance and so beautiful. The apt. grounds are spectacular and they are kept up to perfection. There are no parking problems and it is a quiet neighborhood. All you need to do is to put in a request and your needs are immediately ...

    I been living at One Norman Blvd for almost two years. The apartment complex as a whole is very good. The neighbors are very nice and helpfully and the community is clean. It is very family oriented neighborhood. I called my apartment average because it needs some major upgrades. I love my Kitchen I have all black appliances but my other rooms have this really old school feeling.

  • It has it's ups and downs

    August 15, 2015
    Lived here for four years and each year we got a new property management company. Each company seems to get worse. In the winter they refuse to clear any snow, in the summer they don't make any of the repairs they say they will (unless they are trying to sell the place). New remodels are only being done for empty apartments, and unless you are willing to move you are ineligible for them, but you pay the same rent. Other than that, it's a good location with good schools. I77 is horrible to travel ...
    any time of day, especially rush hour, but they will be putting in toll lanes with a varying fee no one (even the Spanish company running them) knows what it will be. Rumors have been upwards of $10 to get to Charlotte.
