Terrible electricity setup within the apartments
July 6, 2024Over the two years I lived here, my power constantly cut out or had the circuit break simply for having the toaster and microwave going at the same time, or my computer and microwave on at the same time. I experienced my power cutting out well over 150 times. Then they also raised rent $400, and I still experience the constant power cuts. Not worth the price tag, especially if you use a beefy computer.Review from Apartments.com

Awful management and living experience
January 29, 2024Apartment seems nice at first but then will quickly deteriorate due to the low quality refurbishments. They are constantly upgrading the area which becomes bothersome. These upgrades are such poor quality and pointless. Consistent 300 dollar minimum rent increases every year. Terrible parking. Gym with mediocre equipment that never gets restocked with paper towels or sanitary wipes. Inadequate dumpsters so garbage is always overflowing resulting in a rat infestation in the area. Overall Liked my stay despite leaving slightly crossed
October 5, 2022I honestly do not have a lot of negatives to say about the complex itself. It's a lovely location, and the price is reasonable (Really cheaper given the amenities) overall, even for a tenant who left a bit crossed, I still had an overwhelmingly positive stay. My only advice to management would be to update the apartments, especially the electricals. I left precisely because of this. I could barely run a hairdryer let alone an AC and with recent heat waves, this was a health hazard to my ...family. To the new management, AMC properties, I think the extensive renovations and maintenance work were positive starts nonetheless, understand that these may cause harm to some folk, and be a bit more empathetic with concerns. Bitumen and paint for two weeks are horrid smells to bear and not even a lease clause will override the landlord's obligation to shield tenants. More stringent enforcement of non-smoke policies would also be great, especially around the kid's play areas. January 24, 2022Overlook at Lakemont is an excellent choice for an apartment. You live in the city but your environment feels more like in a suburb. My drive to downtown is only about 15 minutes. The apartment is recently renovated, clean, pet friendly and the common areas are well maintained. The management staff are actively involved and the maintenance department is responsive. September 20, 2021If you want quality and peace this isn't the place. The management lies and rips you off from the get go. Quoted one prices then charge more on both rent and parking even though I had it is writing and email the price then when it came time to sign they wouldn't honor it. Noisy with dogs howling and dropping bowling bowls at night, Haven't gotten a night of uninterpreted sleep yet. Dog poo is every where. Poorly maintained units with peeling floors, expose wood and unfinished painting and ...chipped counters. The place came ready for Halloween with spider and cobwebs. (shouldn't share that they probably charge extra for decorating)Property Manager Responded
September 21, 2021Hello, We are sorry to hear about any frustrations you have experienced, as that is not our intent for our valued residents. When you first toured with us at Overlook, the team let you know that pricing does change daily, and to lock in the rate you are quoted; a deposit does need to be paid to hold the unit and application ran. Additionally, you were provided with a handout detailing all rentable and pricing with carports listed as $60 per month. Unfortunately, with apartment living, we are unable to promise complete quiet. The team did previously speak with you about your concerns and communicated how noise could travel due to the wood plank flooring. However, for any noise considered outside normal apartment noise, you were provided with the courtesy patrol number; and it was recommended that you call them in the evening when any noise issue occurs so they can address it at that time. In speaking with Courtesy Patrol, they confirmed they did not receive any calls from you for noise ...disturbances. We do apologize for any times residents have failed to pick up after their pets. The Overlook team has sent out several reminders to residents about the importance of cleaning up, and the maintenance team walks the grounds daily. We would like to connect with you at your earliest convenience and discuss your concerns and submit any necessary service requests for your home.
