Bad. Avoid.
January 10, 2022If you love having a noisy home environment then you will love living here, especially if your apartment is in the front. None of the units are soundproofed, so you’ll get to hear all of the noises. Neighbors who scream at each other; gunshots; the loudest engines and mufflers you’ve ever heard going up Parker and down Riverside at 3 AM; police/ambulance sirens every day. You will also love the constantly-changing management. Good luck getting a timely response to your messages and work orders. ...Also, you will never get anyone on the phone when you call, so just do yourself a favor and download the Resident App and put in your requests that way. On at least six occasions, people have randomly tried to come into my apartment, but I always keep my door locked. It’s a weird feeling to be sitting in your place, and then someone turns your door handle. No knock or warning. One of my neighbors complained that someone stole a cell phone from her apartment while she was using the restroom. She wasn’t locking her door. The only thing this place has going for it is its proximity to downtown and the hike/bike trail around the “lake.” Do your laundry at the Lavanderia at the small shopping center just north of the complex. It’s cleaner, cheaper, and you’ll never have to worry about stepping in someone’s urine like you will in the complex’s laundry rooms. No longer managed by 512 Living. Metric is the name of the management company. They used to have an office here, but they closed it down and then rented it. Without an office here, people feel emboldened to do whatever they want to do. The complex issued parking permits, and said this would help with non-residents parking here. It didn’t. Without an office here, people park here for two months without getting towed. If you live there, you will have to get used to random people hanging about. It’s very shady. I received most of my deposit back after I moved out, but the management company did charge me an additional $34 for utilities. This was confusing to me because I paid everything that was due at the time that I moved out. They even sent me a bill and said these are your charges and then I paid them, and then they charged me an additional $34. I have no idea why this is and they did not provide any notice about it except with my refund check. This was the worst rental experience of my life. Admittedly, I have not lived in a lot of apartment complexes. But this was absolutely the worst.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
