Roaches in walls they can’t get rid of
December 1, 2021Thanks for the trash valet never being on time or on schedule there’s often trash outside in the hallways for long periods of time… The building is so old it does not matter how many times they spray for pests, it always has rats and roachesProperty Manager Responded

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH MANAGEMENT.
March 22, 2018So here's the story: My original lease ended at the end of July of 2017. I decided to stay until the end of August due to some things going on at home. (Side note: At the end of August, I told them I might need to stay a little longer due to my permanent home being severely flooded due to Harvey. I expected them to give me my normal or even a discounted rate due to the major storm and my current predicament of losing my childhood home, but no, they hit me back with what would be almost triple my ...original rent just for staying TWO OR THREE MORE DAYS longer so I had time to organize and figure things out with my flooded home. That didn't happen.) But I digress... I talked with the on-site property manager at the end of July and she said that I'll be put on a month to month rate since I'm off lease until the end of August. That was fine. However, she said that she'll upload my updated bill to the online bill payment portal. Cool. I paid, moved out on the agreed date with a clean apartment and all keys and forwarding info given, everything was good. Until now. I got a call from a collections agency a couple of days ago demanding that I pay the remainder of the rent or they'd report to the credit bureaus. I was confused as I checked my bill payment portal a few times after I've left and there were no bills remaining. Turns out, my property manager only uploaded a part of what I actually had to pay at the end of July to pay for the month of August, and that I was expected to pay the remainder now. I even sent them an email when turning in my keys stating that if there was anything else they'd need from me, to contact me by sending me a letter to my forwarding address (which I handed to management along with my keys) or my email or phone. There had been no phone calls, emails, or any communication whatsoever to notify me of the situation. They sent letters to me...but they were sent to my APARTMENT ADDRESS (yes, the same apartment that they knew I had vacated already and therefore had no access to the mailbox). So don't be fooled by the nice amenities of the apartment (which, I admit, they were pretty nice). The property manager behind the curtains CAN and WILL take advantage of you if you let them. Apart from lying about my rent, to sending my account to collections without even a simple thing like a quick phone call or email is so deceptive and sleazy business practice.Property Manager Responded
March 23, 2018We are delighted to learn that you enjoyed our community amenities and we are also truly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced. We care about the comfort and well-being of our residents, so it’s unfortunate to read your concerns regarding our team. We do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced regarding parking but, please know that parking is a common issue in many communities and we do our best with what is available to use. Your lease expired 7/25/17. You were charged the month to month rate for August 2017 since the lease was expired. Your notice was given on 6/30/17 we require a 60 day written notice which would have your move out date July 28, 2017. These dates did not correlate with Hurricane Harvey since your notice was given before the storm formed. You were also provided a renewal notice two months prior to your lease expiration date clarifying the lease end date, the number of days required for notice and when the month to month rate would start. ...If you would like to discuss your concerns further then please give us a call. Thank you.

Do not judge a book by its cover
December 15, 2017If you move here you're paying for a subpar overpriced unit that happens to be in a good location. There are multiple crimes reported throughout the property and they recently towed the vehicle of someone who actually live on the property and offered no assistance at all.Property Manager Responded

April 10, 2018It saddens us to hear that your experience in our community has prompted you to post such a negative review. We regret to hear that this incident occured, but crime has no address and has potential to happen despite our courtesy patrol keeping an eye on things from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. every night. Should you have any outstanding concerns or suggestions on how we can improve your time here at Phoenician, we welcome the opportunity to speak with us in our office.

Never felt more at home
August 14, 2015Where to start? From the towering palm trees to the lagoon pools, the exterior gardens and the symmetrical layout, this property looks magnificent even before you enter the luxury gates. The layout feels inviting and comforting, just the thing that you should expect (hardly, but oh so refreshing!) just minutes from the hustle and bustle of the fun streets of the Galleria district. The neighbors are friendly and quiet and always smiling. It feels like a little oasis tucked behind the gates and ...walls, making it the perfect little spot to be away from everything while being minutes away from anything you could ask for. Oh, but the gym is kinda small. Go out for a run!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

August 10, 2015Overall very nice looking apartments in a very good location. Located close enough to the Galleria to enjoy what is nearby but far enough to,avoid the traffic. The amenities are good and the apartments themselves are nicely built and with good appliances. Maintenance is also very responsive. The parking in the complex is probably the worst thing here. There are no assigned spots and there do not seem to be enough spots for everyone. The parking lot is a rectangle encasing the main area of the ...apartments and for some reason everyone tries to park closer to the entrance meaning that if you actually live near the entrance you may end up parking in the back. Also there are no elevators so moving in and out is a pain, especially on the third floor.Property Manager Responded

Review Phoenician Apartments
August 7, 2015Phoenician Apartments is a great choice for living in Houston. It is conveniently located in the galleria area with everything you would need within a few minutes drive. It has a gorgeous facade, swimming pool and common areas. The apartments are spacious and very well maintained. The maintenance team is always very prompt and efficient. Parking is usually OK except at late hours in the evening when it can be hard to find available spots. Guest parking is very limited.Property Manager Responded
