Pine Rock Townhomes is a Student Only Housing community of 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom townhouses conveniently located directly adjacent to the Southern Connecticut State University Campus. The newest off campus housing offering for the SCSU community and nearby colleges, Pine Rock Townhomes is the premier residence for under grad and grad students alike. Units are rented by the bed, with shared common areas (living room, kitchen, etc). Must be a student to apply. Leases run until July 31st, 2024. Applicants must undergo a background and credit check. Best SCSU housing
December 19, 2024As a junior - this is the best living situation I’ve had. I spent 2 years on campus and pine rock apartments are significantly nicer and newer than my previous arrangements. The private bedroom and bathroom are a massive upgrade over the dorm living.Review from Apartments.com

Wouldn’t recommend
July 29, 2023Our garage was used as storage for our full lease term. We also had a repairs that we were told would get fixed before we moved in which we never fix throughout the entire lease term. They recently raised their prices and you can find much better!Property Manager Responded

July 10, 2023As a student, the pricing was what drew me into this apartment complex. The townhomes are infested with mice and bugs, and are also poorly built. Management is nice, but changes constantly. It is obvious that they wanted to help, but almost nothing was done. They will not handle disputes with roommates, despite any breaches of the lease (even when the police were called on them twice, one being for physical violence). When I felt unsafe in my own home (due to the mice and the roommate) they ...refused to address the situation. I had to reach out to upper management in order for the situation to be handled (3 months later), but I had to live in an unsafe environment for the remainder of my stay. It got to the point that my refrigerator had mice living in it (I saw them go inside of the back), and management refused to replace it (our stove was also full of mouse droppings). Please do not fall for the pricing!!!Property Manager Responded

Worst place I’ve rented from

HORRIBLE COMPANY
January 11, 2023This is by far the WORST property I’ve ever rented from. Management has no clue what they’re doing and will try to keep your security deposit unless you hunt them down. On top of this nothing gets fixed and their workers show up unannounced and enter as they please. If you value your living space do not move here.Property Manager Responded

March 22, 2022Beware! Management is terrible. This property has gone through multiple management groups. They treat tenants and their properties poorly. Nothing will never get fix. Overpriced and HORRIBLY managed
December 5, 2020They still have not paid back their security deposits and will not unless you harass them. We went without many furniture pieces for weeks at the beginning. They overcharge for everything. They have no idea how their own paying system works and hope you don't either so you end up overpaying, never telling you, and pocketing the cash. They are disrespectful and do not know what they were doing. Maintenance would show up at random hours unannounced and then would not fix anything.
