ROACHES, RATS, MOLD & HIGHWAY ROBBERY
November 18, 2021The apartments are OKAY for the BASE RENTAL price (without the unnecessary fees) but they’re infested….. and I mean infested with ROACHES. The units are old and you can clearly see that they haven’t really renovated them in a way where there aren’t cracks and crevices and holes that pests can easily fit through. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that they charge residents a monthly pest control fee when I have to kill a roach (or a few) every time I make myself something to eat. It’s ...DISGUSTING. I’m paying the building for pest control when I have to go out and buy roach baits, roach hotels, boric acid and cans upon cans of Raid and completely deep clean every few days just to feel comfortable in my own home. I keep the light on in the kitchen 24/7 because I don’t particularly like walking into my kitchen to get something to eat and seeing dozens of roaches scatter. UGH. So that makes my electric bill higher than it needs to be because a light is always on. Not to mention the giant water bugs that lurk outside your door and in the parking lot at night. My boyfriend literally watched a water bug easily crawl under the front door and come right in our house with no problems. We came home from dinner one time and THREE palm-sized water bugs were in a group lurking around near peoples apartments. What exactly am I paying for if the issue is still prevalent ? Speaking of paying for services that don’t get done, we also pay the building so that we can walk to the RAT INFESTED dumpster to throw away our own trash. Why exactly am I paying them to throw away my own trash ? Not only that, every other week or so the dumpster gets ridiculously overfilled to the point where people just leave their bags of trash on the ground because no one’s come to clean it up for weeks. The entire complex has smelled like a junkyard before because of it and it happens often. Sooo again WHAT AM I PAYING FOR ? These apartments also have a mold problem. I had to buy this bleach-based mold killing spray because mold constantly grows on the air vents and in the shower. Everyone knows mold makes you sick and can potentially kill you. Why so many complexes don’t fix their mold problems is beyond me. I have to spray them down every week just to subdue the smell. It’s still there because there’s parts of the apartment that smell like it more so that others (specifically the kitchen). HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!!!!!
April 27, 2020THE ENTIRE FOUNDATION INSIDE THE APARTMENT IS FALLING APART! THE PAINT OVER EVERYTHING OLD RATHER THAN REPLACING IT THE TB, THE WALLS, THE CABINETS, CRACKS. THERE IS HOLES IN FLOORS WHERE BUGS AND ANTS WOULD CRAWL OUT OF. I HAVE TO SEND EMAILS AFTER EMAILS JUST TO GET SOMETHING FIX. THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL STOP WORKING THE BATHROOM SINK IS FULL OF DRY PAINT THE MOLD SOMEWHERE IN THE APARTMENT THAT IS CONSTANTLY MAKING ME SICK!!! October 29, 2018I have lived here for about a year and it has been a TERRIBLE experience. The staff turn over rate is unbelievable. Every time I go into the office, I see the entire staff has changed including management AND maintenance. The staff is VERY VERY UNORGANIZED! Please! keep track of all your conversations, agreements, and payments. They send me hundreds of emails, texts, and post bright colored notices on your door for money I DONT EVEN OWE! I have had to go into work late (the office isn't currently ...open on weekends since the "new staff" changed it all of a sudden) just to clarify how much I paid and that I DO NOT IN FACT OWE MONEY! If you aren't careful, they will try to get more money out of you. They will try to add on random, extra, unheard of fees. There was a shooting right outside my apartment. Police and ambulance all over the parking lot. Someone got shot. If you watch, you'll see groups of men standing around and cars pulling up for a drug exchange. Not safe! The apartments are okay for the price but believe me when I say, ROACH INFESTED! I have had to go out and buy my own insect killing products because the exterminator company they use will just spray some useless water around your apartment and it does NOTHING to solve the problem. I have tried to make several complaints about the staff but no one from Ventron has gotten back to me. If there is no one you can complain to, that says alot about the Ventron brand as a whole. This place is RIDICULOUSLY WRONG
August 27, 2017They showed me one unit then placed me in another unit when I arrived with my things... After complaing about the location being unsafe, the ROACHES, the leaking ceiling,the unfinished jobs started in the unit, dust & mold...I was told it would be temporary.... THIS HAS BEEN 2 MONTHS NOW...ALL of my things are still packed and the person I signed the lease with is no longer working here so I have been getting the run around from the new property management Anita... She handles me like I am the ...problem showing me diffrent units with more ROACHES, torn floors, holes in the walls and states SHE'S TRYING TO HELP ME BUT I AM BEING DIFFICULT.... First time renter
July 20, 2016They're doing renovations now that they're under new management (thank God) ! The rent prices have gone up tremendously. Me personally, I wouldn't pay $9xx.00 for cracked walls and ceilings. When you move in they just paint over everything! Roaches are real here they say they spray but they have to be spraying water ! Seriously! It takes forever to get your work orders done. There's no tennis court here or a playground for kids. Also they put a few things in the rent office that they consider a ...gym now. I see what they're trying to do with these apartments but for the price I cannot wait for my lease to be up in November ! looks can be deceiving
September 16, 2015On the outside it looks nice,but that's it. My bathroom and laundry room in my apartment smells like weed all the time and I have a 2 yr old there. They don't fix anything. August 11, 2015The apartment I live in is fair. I say this because I pay $818 a month in rent, and when I moved in my apartment, the front bathroom tub and ceiling was cracked terribly, the tub faucet leaked, and my heater was not working. They provided me with an electrical heater but it was enough to warm up the apartment. Now, it is hot and it took me hounding the rent office four to five times and calling the corporate office (South Carolina) to get them to actually get to my apartment and fix the ...AC/Heating unit properly. The terrible maintenance men did not know what they were doing. You freeze in the winter in the bedrooms and burn up in the summer in the bedrooms. The living room and kitchen are the only rooms that are receive adequate heat/air. I have to constantly stay on the rent office to complete my maintenance issues because they claim to need more help and cannot get to them in time. In the beginning they were fixing things the same or next day but after about a month everything went down hill. I want to finally live in a very very nice apartment with great amenities that is worth the money paid. I am tired of moving and want to settle in one great place. I had to move last year December 1st to this place (thinking it was better) from Highland Forest in Stone Mountain GA. They are worse than this place.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
