Lots of Light and Charm in a Schoolhouses apartment
July 30, 2015I've never lived in such a place as the Queen Anne High School condos. Built in 1908, the historic building was once a high school and is on the national register of historic places and an official Seattle landmark. There is something to be said for living in a place with history... It just feels more alive and more special than anywhere else. Our particular unit, with 12 foot high ceilings and enormous windows that let in north facing light all day long make the apartment particularly welcoming. ...The unit, like many, boasts the original classroom chalkboard, perfect for writing my never ending to-do list, and offers a nice talking point for parties. Kitchen and bathroom finishes are above standard from what you might find in a typical unit. And best of all, the community rooftop offers not only lounge chairs and BBQs for parties and summer dining, but the BEST views of downtown Seattle, the Puget Sound and Mt, Rainier, than just about anywhere else.
