Bugs
December 3, 2025Units are infested by cockroaches. Management says it's going to be weeks to over a month for anything to be done, even after previous reports and complaints. This is after pipes are bursting and we're woken up in the middle of the night by maintenance about emergencies. They allowed the building to get so bad it has water damage, mold, construction throughout the day for weeks. And the bugs are so bad from living on the rot in the walls at this point I have not been able to use my kitchen for ...weeks either. What do they offer? Platitudes, "oh we're at the mercy of the exterminator," and not even a simple apology. Doesn't matter how long you've lived here, pay your bills on time, live quietly, they don't care about tenants. Save yourself a whole lot of trouble and never get an apartment here, unless you like scrubbing your apartment three times per day just to keep up with the cockroach poo.Property Manager Responded

October 28, 2024Poor communication with leasing agents anytime you want something completed. Amenities are really non-existent. I’ve been living by a Club House that has been “under renovation“ for over 1 year. The biggest issue is the intentional lack of Visitor Parking availability—they hire security to tip off Comm Tow who will tow away your Visitors. I’d say there are 4 visitor spots for every 100 units. Tenants are not issued their own parking spots even though you need to register your vehicle with the ...leasing office. Due to the anonymity of who is parking next to you, I went outside the other day and noticed there is a big dent on the side of my car. If residents had their own parking spots then I could determine who flung open their vehicle car door. Now it is even harder to tell who is coming in and out because there are all of these sloppy contractors just walking around throwing their pizza boxes and plastic water bottles everywhere. ***If you do get granted a tour of one of the properties, request that the AC is shut off so you can get a true sense of the odor of a unit. My unit has a lingering cat urine smell that I addressed within 72 hours of moving in. 3 months later, I am still waiting for my carpets to be cleaned. They say you don’t need to wait around for service to be completed, but the leasing agents make you feel stuck all day as the “window of time for service“ is between 10am and 5pm. The other day, I literally had someone in no uniform with a 201 number walk into my unit with no uniform or any work order. The heavyset individual did nothing. Like really, nothing. I understand there were two hurricanes back to back, but I can’t even get an update as to when my sliding glass door will be fixed from when it was shattered by Helene. I am now losing money because theres less isolation with a single pane door. Lastly, the danger of walking on broken glass is real for my service animal and me. After one week of waiting for maintenance to inspect the door, they just look at the door and make accusations that I busted out my glass door like there was no hurricane. Housekeeping is super lazy. I had to clean up the broken glass door myself. If I was like other people around here there would be broken glass still all over my patio but I paid $100 to buy an industrial size vac to suck up shards of glass I am still finding everywhere.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Don’t waste your time
June 3, 2023Worse place to rent from. Grounds stay dirty. Only 1 pool works and you can only use it while they are working. Laundry facilities barely work. They make mistakes on your account and expect you to pay for it. They don’t care if it cause financial stress. They are nice as long as you don’t complain or ask for anything. Once you start request maintenance and such you they don’t take your calls or care about what you say. Don’t waste your time.Property Manager Responded

Looked at The Reserve for an October 2021 move
October 1, 2021I really like the idea of a decent sized apartment, decent patio, trees for shade and covered parking. The pictures online showed the complex was dated but in good shape. 1. Office staff moved the office into the room with the fireplace. They informed me this was not temporary. Tacky. Broken desks, no place to sit in front of representative and rude representatives. 2. One side of the complex seemed to be in better shape than the other side which was more ghetto. 3. Trash massively overflowing 4. ...Complex in need of a lot maintenance and repair. Fences bowed or falling, broken entrance doors, in need of paint 5. Apartments very old, cheaply worked on and it showed. Needless to say, I scratched this one off the list ASAP. It's a shame when a complex has so much potential is run into the ground. The management and condition of this complex is reflected in the number of vacancies at the time of this post- as I can't go back to verify the number, I will say between 26-36 vacancies.Property Manager Responded
October 12, 2021Dear Anonymous, We regret that your experience when visiting our community was not what you expected. However, we are in the process of making some amazing changes to our community which I am certain you would love. The leasing office is going through a major renovation with new desks for the staff and a new seating area for the guests. We removed the chairs from the front of the desks due to COVID-19 for the protection of not only the staff but the guests as well. We have had new fencing done around the entire community We have wonderful staff on property that strive to tackle any trash concerns on the grounds of the community. Our community is going through a complete renovation which includes new AC units, new exterior lighting, full paint, upgraded amenities, and many more exciting items to look forward to. Dead Goose
February 13, 2020I understand that the Reserve has new owners and that is the reason we have lost so much. I informed the staff at the Reserve last Thursday morning about a dead goose in the water close to shore. It is STILL THERE a week after being first reported, The staff told me that all they had was a pole with a net on the end I am amazed that a place of their size would only have a pole with a net on the end for retrieving dead animals in the water. I told them I would lend them my fishing rod and hook ...to catch the bird and bring it to shore to retrieve it. I have been here for 5 years and when I first came we had Trash and water included and we had a beautiful Fountain that I loved to look at at night. The lights on the water was very relaxing but that stopped one years after I was here. We have lost so much and the leasing staff is not in any hurry to help us. They promise us anything and look very concerned about the problem until we leave, then they are back to normal. lastly I pay a fee for use of a lighted car port well the lights went out around 11 months ago and I informed them when the lights went out. I was told it would be corrected and as of today....The 13th of February 2020 nothing has changed. NOT GOOD AT ALL
May 22, 2017I have be stay here for 2 years, my first bad experience started the month I was suppose to renew my lease. First, they lost my rent money order and left a red notice on my door facing upward where all my neighbors can see and read EXCATLY what it say! So I called knowing I paid and I have my stub stating that I paid, they continue to place me on hold and tell me that they gone call me back. NOBODY ever callback for days! Me worried about the situation called repeatedly finally was told they ...place my money order on someone else account. Secondly, both bathrooms had mold in the vents. I have to put 6 work order over a 2 month time period and threaten to call city cold after print up all my work orders and requesting a copy of my lease agreement. Throughout the multiple phone conversation Vebina was EXEMENTLY RUDE and the hardest to work with she should NOT be the voice of the complex. NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE skills, DON'T know her job, REPEATLY place you on long hold. OVERALL I WOULDN"T recommend this place to a homeless person. September 10, 2015I haven't leved in apartment until recently due to circumstances of life currently in a two/two needs to be in a four family of five.The office staff are outrageously rude unprofessional maintenance doesn't fix things right.I can't complain with a roof over my head.It'd be dream to live in some five star plus luxury apartment with laundry dryer in unitgarage family oriented and convenient. I would be so happy if we all can be comfortable and happy with our living arrangement. August 29, 2015The Reserve at Lake Point use to be a lovely place to live. Due to recent activities, that the staff are well aware of it is a nightmare. Crime and Violence are taking over, had my car vandalized by a Resident and threatened and he still lives there, so I live in fear for mine and my son's safety on a daily basis. Another gal was murdered there. If your thinking about calling this place home, please for your own safety don't.Review from Apartments.com
