Slow Responding Staff. Noisy as can be. Junkies break in often
January 13, 2024I've been residing here for work and school for a few years, and I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be relocating this summer. Unfortunately, BonaVista is a poorly managed company that shows little concern for your well-being. The building experiences frequent break-ins by individuals struggling with addiction, and they often loiter in the lobby. The staff does not take adequate measures to address noise issues from neighboring apartments. Additionally, they may attempt to persuade you to sign a ...new lease after going month-to-month, claiming it will save you money, but it often results in higher costs in the long run. Your best interests are not a priority, and even as a good tenant, you may find yourself being taken advantage of. Limited internet options are available, with the "free" internet being subpar at best. It's best to avoid this place altogether.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Can’t wait to move out of here
March 6, 2023Honestly ending my lease here is the best decision I’ve made since moving to Seattle two years ago. Staff is cold, unfriendly, condescending, and unavailable majority of the time. If you need something fixed don’t count on them to respond right away, if at all. I went two weeks without being able To lock my door since the pin pad died, and the toilet paper holder has been consistently broken since I moved in. Won’t be shocked if they charge me to fix it either. Honestly save your money and ...move into a comparably priced but much larger studio apartment or 1 bedroom at another property. This place isn’t worth the money.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not the worst, not good
February 25, 2022Can't have your own internet (you HAVE to use the really bad community WiFi that not only is slow but randomly disconnects you all the time) and if that isn't the case, then the office people are entirely unhelpful in figuring out who you can use and how to set it up. In fact, the girl pretty much said "I don't know" when the tech was here trying to help me. You can hear everything going on in every apartment around you, which is super great (sarcasm). My bathroom has a public bathroom style sink ...with no counterspace at all, making it next to useless. My apartment has the weirdest shape that makes it impossible to have my full size bed in any sort of logical spot.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Space to live
February 22, 2022The rooftop is pretty cool, and the view is a bargain. Considering the local type of traffic, you couldn't ask for better. It's great, not perfect. relax, its not a forever home. a comfortable living section.Review from Apartments.com
Good for the price
March 5, 2021It was exactly what I needed: a decent space on a tight budget. I've been happy here during my lease but plan to move at the end of it. The concessions packages might seem difficult to understand at first but are actually pretty solid. The leasing staff was super helpful when I signed. The photos misrepresent the common spaces. The gym is smaller than the photo but it's nice enough. The "game" area is just the lobby, not at all what I would call a real common space. The roof is nice ...though. Unit appliances and condition are generally good. The free/included "High-speed internet" is overall pretty good but would get either throttled or overloaded at times. Just about every night right at 9 I'd start having serious issues streaming from live sites (like Twitch). And it would happen occasionally randomly during the day. If you stream games, be ready to pay for the higher speed. Most of the reviews mention that parking is a huge issue... This is definitely still true. With the light rail and surrounding apartment construction, it's likely to remain that way at least another year or two. I consistently found parking a few blocks west but it means you might be walking alone at night. Anyway, overall, it's a really great transition option if that's what you need. Also probably good if you're not working from home.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Frustrations
August 9, 2020I live here and it does not look anything like the photos advertised here, don't let that fool you. The rooftop is ok, the gym is small, and the PARKING IS TERRIBLE!! I've gotten towed twice. Save yourself the hassle and don't live hereReview from Apartments.com
Mixed Feelings
January 3, 2020PROS: The leasing agent was nice, and everything is new and clean. You do get the $500 gift card, furniture, and month free like the deal, but... CONS: the studios are so small, and the loft rooms are better but still really small for the price. Make you pay first and last months rent with deposit so really your second month is free, with 4K paid at move in. Also, no stove, oven, or dishwasher in any of the units. And no parking, only street parking which I could tell will be a pain. Also they ...told me if I paid $250 I could hold the apartment for up to a month, but after a week they started spamming me saying I was losing the apartment hold if I don't start working on the lease within 24 hours. The posting seems like a good deal, but the more you learn the less impressed I was with the whole complex!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Amazing place with great deals
October 8, 2019This by no means is a scam. If you take the time to sit with the leasing staff, they will clearly explain to you how the free rent works. For the unit I was interested in, along with the current free rent promotion. I was able to receive $3,000+ in rental concessions. Yes they ask for your first and last months rent but the concessions take effect from the day you gain possession. Your account holds a credit that takes effect after your concessions runs out. The leasing manager explained very ...well to me when I went in for a tour.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Nice people, good deal
September 13, 2019Pretty affordable, though a bit pricey for the size, but considering that we’re in Seattle it’s not all too bad. I’ve had a great experience contacting and getting set up with a room by a guy named Theron! And I agree that this is not a scam lol, you still have to pay first and last month rent when you move in so I’m not sure what the person who called this a “scam” was trying to do. Anyway, if you’re looking for a decent price, and a pretty nice place (depending on budget), I’d say give this ...place a shot!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Not a scam
September 9, 2019The math gets complicated after discounts, prorated amount, the move-in total breakdown for monthly payments (if you choose) and regular monthly rent. Just ask for monthly rent schedule to see how it makes sense, you'd be surprised. I found this a perfect and affordable deal! Nice management too.Review from Apartments.com
Scam
August 23, 2019August and September not free they get your deposit then on the day to move in they say they need first month rent plus deposit. You can spread last month rent over 6 months not 9 and they don't prorate. So you're paying August full amount plus deposit. If you decided to spread last month over six months your paying that in September, and October your regular rent plus deposit you spread out. Avoid this scam or they'll keep your deposit.Review from Apartments.com
