Not so Newly Renovated
August 9, 2017I have lived in Riverton going on 4 years now. Although they say newly renovated its more like newly refurbished. Once a tenant moves out of the apartment minimum maintenance is done to the apartment prior to the next tenant moving in. I have experienced this first and did not realize this is how Riverton works until I was moving into the apartment. It took them over a year and a half to fix a mirror in my bathroom. I have had several issues in my apartment that have gone unaddressed or have ...been patched, so the issue is never really resolved. The maintenance team is mediocre and alway manages to do a sloppy job. Which is frustrated especially for considering the price to rent here. I am still here because it is easy for my daughter to get to school and I am relocating in two years. However , if I planned on being in NY longer, I would definitely not stay here. If you have other options seek those out first.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Fair price for the money,!
January 23, 2016The grocery stores in the neighborhood are poor you have to shop out side the area to get quality groceries. Very few places to eat that are close by. The buildings are in poor condition: elevators, tiles, paint, lighting. The hallways are always dirty. Plus side: slow to respond but good maintenance staff. Most of the neighbors are very nice people. You have the 2 and 3 trains 2 blocks away. Mike C.Review from Apartments.com
It's ok
September 23, 2015We have been living here for about 14 years. The neighbors are really nice and welcoming but the general upkeep could use some improving. Overall it's a great place to live!Review from Apartments.com

Mixed Feelings at Riverton
July 28, 2015I've been living at Riverton Square for 4 years, in 2 different apartments. The property is slowly being renovated and I have only lived in the renovated apartments. The 1 bd, 1 bath I lived in first was pretty good. The kitchen and bathroom received most of the work giving us a small but new enclosed kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher and nice counter tops. We only had 1 drawer in the kitchen though, and the pantry is in the hallway, away from the kitchen. Then we moved into the 2 bd. ...Very dissappointing. More of the apt received upgrades, new floors, new doors, new light fixtures but it was cheaply done. The new floor went on top of the old floor and you can feel that there's space between the two. The doors swell a lot with increased humidity and gets stuck. The door handles have come off and we've had to reattach them. It just seems that they tried to do too much with the same budget as the 1 bd. There are some great things though, the location is very convenient. Between 2 train lines easily accessing the west side and the east side. I'm no more than 30-45 minutes from anywhere in Manhattan. The grounds and buildings are maintained pretty well. The staff is friendly and very good about keeping everything clean and safe. And the courtyard is very nice to relax in and my daughter likes the playground. Overall, it's been a nice place to live but I wish the renovations were done better.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
