Too pricy and rude Management
October 11, 2024Too pricy apartment and charged me $1000 extra for late notice. We given a verbal notice 2 months ago. Front desk is little rude and not that friendly. Even they increase the apartment prices, which is not worth it.Review from Apartments.com
Overpriced, overcharged
September 6, 2024There are nice places for better prices. Also all the properties are smaller then listed. My apartment was about 20% less square feet than listedReview from Apartments.com
Absolutely Awful
June 30, 2022Where do I start? Bed bugs, mice, horrific and rude management, filthy common areas (laundry rooms, hallways, etc.), extremely overpriced. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR AWAY from this complex. Live anywhere else...Property Manager Responded
July 8, 2022Hello! I am sorry to hear you have experienced such a negative time at our community. I would like to know which Royal Crest Estates are you referring to? We have four. One in Nashua, Marlboro, North Andover and Warwick. I would love to address your experience more directly but we unfortunately would need your name. Please feel free to reach out to me with this information at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com so we can discuss further. Thank you. -Susan

Get ready to be nickel and dimed
November 11, 2021The complex is nice enough and neighbors are friendly. That said, be prepared to be charged for anything and everything. Rent on its own is high for what you get but get ready to pay for anything you can think of. Parking, laundry, trash removal (there is no recycling here so those who are trying to be environmentally friendly best avoid), and a $50 fee to pick up your packages. The ceilings and floors are very warped and I had a hole in my ceiling from water damage within a month of living here. ...It’s a nice enough place to live but for what they’ll charge you you’re better off looking elsewhere.Property Manager Responded
November 11, 2021Hello, thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate the feedback you have provided. In Royal Crest's lease agreement all additional charges or fees are provided. We understand that allocated monthly expenses may vary for everyone. As such, we are extremely mindful to disclose all charges and fees with customers prior to signing a lease agreement. We would be happy to review these with you at any time. Our package locker system is a fee of $50.00 per year. Residents are responsible for all utilities. We have a great service and maintenance team! Please submit a service request through your resident portal for the hole in your ceiling you spoke of and all other maintenance concerns. Please reach out to your Community Manager or ICanHelp@AirCommunities.com with any other questions or concerns. -Susan

Apartments are good, poor management and staff
July 22, 2021The apartments are nice, but the management team and maintenance staff are not. Once they get you in the door they stop caring. Maintenance requests take a minimum of one month to complete. If you want a place with stable rent don't look here. They will raise 10% annually and refuse to negotiate. I was told "if you don't like the price you can just leave" by the property manager. Further, there is quite a bit of crime in the community. Car windows are smashed regularly, so don't leave anything ...valuable in your vehicle. Hit and runs are also common, Royal Crest has no cameras covering any parking lots and does not have plans to implement any in the future.Property Manager Responded
July 27, 2021Hello, thank you for sharing your experience at one of our Royal Crest communities. We have four, a Royal Crest in North Andover, Nashua, Marlboro and Warwick, RI. I am unsure which Royal Crest community this review refers to. We apologize if at any time you felt our customer service did not meet your expectations. Any concerns expressed or that may have been previously missed, we would certainly take the time to address. We urge our residents to never leave valuables in their cars in full view, break ins as you described can happen in the most secure of neighborhoods. We would like to address your concerns with you directly. Can you please email me at ICanHelp@aircommunities.com and include your contact information and full community name and location? Thank you! -Susan

Below Average everything
December 17, 2020The apartments are decent and we’ve (my girlfriend and I and our dog) had some issues since moving here last September but nothing to really make me write a bad review BUT it’s how they’ve handled the pandemic is what baffles me. Rent went up for us after our first year and we were cornered into staying here during the pandemic because you need a whopping SIXTY DAY notice or you have to resign. Great. So, we’re locked in for another year for 200$ more a month and higher fees than previous, but ...get this, THEY TOOK AWAY ALL AMENITIES AND STILL CHARGE YOU FOR THEM. I get it, all for quarantine and social distance and everything, I agree with shutting down common areas, pools, taking away our grills, outdoor picnic areas, pool tables, etc... so we’re forced to pay more for less in a pandemic and they could care less. Only nice thing about Royal crest Nashua is their maintenance crew is extremely helpful and friendly. Also beware of bed bugs. Stay awayRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
Property Beautiful Neighbors Lousy
November 30, 2020Upstairs neighbors are extremely noisy. Management has tried to fix, but no progress. There has yet to be one day of quiet enjoyment in my apartment and for that I’m resentful. I tried to get out of my lease less than 30 days in, and could not due to the ridiculously obnoxious family upstairs. Do ask if you can about number of complaints that have been reported for the neighbors you will be living around.Property Manager Responded

Be warned this place is not what it appears
November 1, 2019This place deletes bad reviews from their website and includes fake reviews and will likely delete this review too. The place is a dump. Bed bugs run rampant, the gym, common areas, and pool are unkept, dirty, and the pool is regularly used by people who don't even live here when it's open. They make you pay for parking but it's a free for all where people will hit your car so watch out. Rent amounts aren't the same for everyone for the same floorplans. Just a few weeks ago someone was arrested ...for having a ton of crack and throwing it out her window. Walls are paper thin you can literally hear everything your neighbors do. Just a gross place to live overall. The website is a poor representation of what you will actually experience.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Roaches and bedbugs
September 18, 2017I lived here about a year and a half and it was awful. The management is rude and lies about fees. The buildings are infested with either roaches or bed bugs. When we were upset about this we were just told "it's being treated". It never improved and we would have to vacated out pets once a week for spraying. To move out we paid then we're charged twice what we had been told. We were offered refunds then AIMCO reneged. The neighbor noise is constant and there is garbage everywhere including in ...the hallways. This place is a total dump and it won't change. I have rented for many years and NEVER seen such horrible management or such disgusting buildings.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Bedbug nightmare
June 27, 2017BEDBUGS. EVERYWHERE. If you're considering renting here, drive around the complex in the middle of the day on a Wednesday, and you'll see pest control vans making their rounds. My partner started getting bites in February of last year, and despite multiple photos and complaints to the apartment management, they failed to identify or address the problem. (Or disclose that the apartment below us had been treated for bedbugs before.) He was sleep deprived and miserable for months. I finally ...identified proof of the bedbugs in mid December, which was confirmed by their maintenance team, and what was their response? They scheduled for it to be treated OVER TWO WEEKS LATER. Even though New Hampshire law requires that any bedbug infestation must be addressed within 7 days. Since, as you can imagine, we couldn't sleep or relax in an apartment where we were being eaten alive by insects, we ended up staying in a hotel for a week. Even though they failed to make our apartment hospitable in a timely manner, and later claimed they would assist with our hotel costs, they ultimately refused to help or reimburse us. They were overall slow to respond and negligent in fixing this miserable problem, exhibiting an almost sociopathic lack of empathy for what we went through. We have lost utter and complete trust in their management team, and for our own sanity, had to break our lease. Of course we are now being harassed about penalty fees, while they have continued to deny their negligence and incompetence. In the last 6 months, at least 4 apartments have been vacated in our building alone, some after just a few months after moving in. Several of them have undergone several pest control treatments as well, presumably for bedbugs. However, instead of treating all the apartments in the building at once, which would be the best way to solve the problem, they address each apartment one by one, placing the burden on the renter to take initiative to fix the problem. Also, their auto payment system? Useless. We set up automatic rental payments on their website, and it malfunctioned each month, so we were charged late fees multiple times. Yet another example of their dysfunction and downward spiral. Royal Crest Estates is by far the worst apartment rental I've ever had, and I've rented many apartments in my lifetime. I'm not sure if they undergo any periodic inspection of their upkeep and performance, but I would give them a failing grade on both accounts.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
