November 18, 2022I wish I could give them a 0 stars. I have lived in a studio here for over a year now. Carpet is coming up, there are cracks in the celling, the water heater does not work, things break left and right and the best part? They don't have maintenance to fix anything! My dryer has been broken for SIX weeks now and no one has come to fix it. I have all but begged on my hands and knees to have it fixed but alas, nothing. Which is odd because my maintenance requests have magically changed from open to ...closed with no one ever stepping foot in my actual unit! My closet doors fall off or get jammed anytime I try to open or close them because the tracks are broken and I have it in writing BY MANAGEMENT that it would be fixed september of 2021. It is now November 2022 and they still are not fixed. If you love to live in an apartment, spend thousands and thousands on said apartment and watch it fall apart in front of you with no chance of it ever being fixed? then this place is for you! Now you've been warned
May 3, 2022A zero is deserved...btw. When we moved in to the Sage at 1240, we were told many things; most of which are lies. First, we were shown some fancy model apartment that set the expectations high. This property is supposed to be a non-smoking property, which obviously isn't true. Our apartment, which we've lived in for ten (10) months still reeks of cigarette smoke. Just because you say something is luxury, doesn't mean it's so. The vinyl floors, (which they refer to as wood flooring) have ...vinyl glue seeping through the seams. After alerting the manager, Jill, she asked, "what would you like us to do about it?" Oh, I don't know...fix it. They continue to leak so our dogs can ingest it. The carpet in the bedroom is ripped up at the door seam. The prior management company promised they would replace it, it still has not been fixed. The security gate hasn't worked in 7 months, the dog park is trashed with plastic sheeting coming up throughout. The landscape is non existent. They have sand around trees and shrubs. We've never had roaches, ever, until we moved here, three times.. There is no "sound barrier" as they describe, ask someone to walk normally in the apartment upstairs...then you'll see, sounds like a herd of elephants. The pictures on the walls rattle as the barely 100lb woman walks upstairs. There is zero water pressure in the bathrooms, the water heaters are a joke. The kitchen sink is made by Kingsford, the outdoor grill folks, yep. They force you to pay extra to have your trash picked up, whether they show up or not. When items are brought to their attention, their attitude is smug and indifferent. They force you to use their application on the phone to pay your rent, which charges extra for the 'convenience'. I have lived in a bunch of apartments over the years, and this has been the worst experience. Mold!! What a bad experience
October 29, 2021Moved in to 4th floor apartment with broken elevator. No notice given prior to move in that elevator was broken. Washer and dryer don’t function. Multiple requests made for repairs with no improvement in conditions. Leaks under sink caused mold growth. Could probably get a good fungi collection going at this point…management is unresponsive. Perfect Place to Call Home
April 18, 2021I have enjoyed living here. The front office staff is fantastic to work with. The few times I needed maintenance, they were always there before I expected and they had any issues resolved rather quick. And they take care of the pool for us to enjoy!! The landscaping crew they have does a wonderful job in keeping our grounds looking beautiful year round. Also, the property is in a great location. Best living experience I could ask for
December 21, 2020I moved into The Sage at 1240 in 2018 and over 2 years later I still cannot find one thing to complain about. The complex and amenities are well-kept and modern. My favorite features about the apartments are the large closets, the 9-foot ceilings, and the balcony. The complex is quiet and as a single lady, I feel perfectly safe all the time-- day and night. Each staff member is friendly, attentive, and very responsive to any request. They add an invaluable dimension to the overall experience. ...The location is ideal for me, as there is shopping, groceries, gyms, biking routes, and great restaurants so close. The beach is only a 10-minute drive. Laurel Hill Park is also minutes away and walking/jogging the beautiful trails in the woods will make you forget you are in a city. Do NOT move here
February 27, 2020Don't be fooled by their rating, take a look at the reviews. All the five star reviews are from 2015 when a different management company owned it. I lived there for 5 years and the last two, with the new owner and awful management staff were the worst two years in a living situation. The staff in the office were all horrible, so horrible the absolute favorite maintenance man Mark, who had been there for years, left. The staff was not only crude to employees, they treated tenants horribly. ...They are shady as well...as you can see by their OLD reviews that aren't even representing their owners. This is an example of the behavior you will experience. They will cheat you out of money and lie. Upon moving out, they lied about missing mail, how much money they owed or I owed, the list keeps going. The grounds are trashed bc they can't find anyone to work for them, there is no budget for a cleaning crew so the breezeways are filthy, cigarette butts everywhere, no rules about dog poop clean up so its everywhere. And worst of all, management won't do anything for you but be obstinate and make you feel uncomfortable. So many places in mt pleasant that will treat you better and you'll love to live. October 9, 2018I’m a military vet who has lived here for 2 years through the transition from Gregorie Ferry Landing to Solomon. I have been a respectful and quiet tennant who has paid ahead of time every month I was residing here. I have had nothing but non stop dealings this year with management’s erroneous filings of paperwork, incorrect charges, and orders for repairs that took nearly a month to be addressed, but I remained patient, worked through it with them, and didn’t complain. My lease will be up at the ...end of November and so I have given written notice as of today. Lo and behold, I was informed that I will be charged though December 9th to cover the 9 days that I did not give notice, which will ultimately result in my paying well over 500.00 as they have just increasd rent by over 120.00 per month. I went to their office and pleaded with them and their manager as I gave 51 days notice; I was told that I was contacted at the beginning of the month and that these were courtesies in and of themselves. I had been working 7 days straight and today was my first opportunity to address this matter. They were dismissive and paid no regard to my good standing as a tennant or my working situation. August 26, 2015I have rented at Gregorie Ferry for over a year. The rental staff is amazing. I was approved in under 30 minutes,and if I have any questions , they respond right away. The amenities are outstanding; a doggie park, a car wash bay, a fitness center, a computer room, a playground, a beautiful pool with grills and rocking chairs. And, Pets are genetically swabbed, so no dog poo here; you are busted if you don't pick up after Fido. I dropped my keys outside and the rental agent called me to tell me ...he found them. There is always a grounds keeper/ operations manager available to answer any qwestions. Also, as a single woman , I wanted a safe environment , and Gregorie Ferry Landing gets an A . Your fob opens the secure gated property, as well as the buildings. The apartment is a little over 2 years old, and the interior of the apartment is beautiful and space efficient. My one bedroom is over 800 square feet , with 9 foot ceilings, new appliances, a huge walk in closet and bathroom, and stylish ligt fixtures and ceiling fans. The grey man made wood floors in the main living area are maintenance free . Also, the location of Gregorie Ferry is within walking distance to restaurants, Walmart , and a shopping center. I can drive to the beach in under 10 minutes , which is amazing . And lastly, Gregorie Ferry Landing's rates are very competitive. I have recommended it to friends, and I get a $300 referral fee.
