Great place to live with a great location
October 12, 2018Sandpointe Cove is a great community to live in. Margaret was an excellent Property Manager. She makes you feel very welcome, is friendly, and makes the place very inviting. It is a great location and very quiet. It is an older building (built in 1963), but is still very quaint and cute. It is perfect for a Studio apartment. It is close to stores and everything you need. I would recommend living here if you want a nice, quiet, and serene place to live.Review from Apartments.com
Great place, awesome manager
July 24, 2018Got emotional leaving this home! I lived here for 3 years and I loved it. Perfect distance to the beach and great manager. Margaret is the best! She is a great person and always takes care of any issues immediately and professionally. She was one of the reasons that made this home a desirable place for us to live. The only reason I moved out was that I needed a bigger home. LoleyReview from Apartments.com
Short and Sweet
February 16, 2016The short 6mo's I've spent here has been nothing short of sweet. The Community and people living in this complex are all friendly and the property manager, Margaret, is super kind and respectful. Margaret has always been efficient and thorough with follow-ups when maintenance requests were submitted. I also give Sam kudos, he works the maintenance for the complex and has also taken care of the things that needed work. As I am happy to move out to move closer to work and shorten my commute, I am ...also sad I will no longer be living here due to all the perks of its location. Newport Beach's Peninsula is 2 miles away which has an awesome bar scene, only a short $5-$6 Uber away, and once you hit Newport Blvd there are a Plethora of stores, bars, restaurants and entertainment you can take advantage of. EVERYTHING is within a 5 mile radius. I think if there were any advice to give regarding this property is that it gets cold during the winter so be sure to run your gas heater, it heats up the entire apartment very quickly and beats having to use a wall heater which electric bill eats away at your wallet.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Newport Beach's best kept secret!
October 8, 2015Seven months ago my roommate and I stumbled upon this little piece of paradise. The location is amazing, the units are very well updated and kept, and the amenities are perfectly maintained! What sealed the deal for us was the professional and cheery disposition of our property manager, Margaret. She addresses any of our needs quickly, wether it's just a question over the phone or something we need repaired. The groundskeeper Sam always responds right away and gets any job done promptly. Two very ...trustworthy assets to Sandpointe Cove! Margaret has especially impressed us in the way she handles difficult situations. We've had a few altercations with an unstably psychotic female neighbor who intentionally tries to create unnecessary problems for everyone. However we don't allow her to overshadow all of the positive aspects that we get to enjoy living here, and we would recommend Sandpointe Cove to anyone looking for a place to call home. Management is horrible
October 6, 2015I have lived here for 3 years and at first I loved it. The old manager was great, the old maintenance guy was amazing. Since the death of the old manager Edit, our new manager Margaret is horrible. When in the office I often see her playing on her cell phone. When confronted with an issue Margaret will tell you what you want to hear only to appease you at the moment. I do not think she is an honest person. She often "forgets" when you call for work that needs to be done in your house and you have ...to call back 2 or 3 times. We now have to pay water/trash/sewer which along with rent being raised $75-$100 annually adds $60 on each month. When it rains, it FLOODS. There are a few families in the neighborhood with small children that play on the walkways which is nice to see. Makes the community feel safe at least. The new maintenance man is very polite but since he is only there part time, he oftern fixes things quickly not really caring what the finished product looks like. The spa is always green and disgusting or so full of chlorine you itch for hours afterward. The grounds are never swept, the trees are so out of control there is never sun that comes through, the grass in our front yards will not grow. SPIDERS are EVERYWHERE. Margaret rents to so many roomates, we now have no room for any guest parking.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Accessible, Affordable, and close to the beach
September 14, 2015I have been living in this community for over 4 years now and I love it. It's a small, tight-knit community where you really get to know your neighbors. The pool and gym have both been upgraded and look amazing! The manager Margaret is very sweet and thrives on bringing the community together with events for residents such as the "Sunday Brunch". You really feel at home when you live at Sandpointe Cove!Review from Apartments.com
Honestly the best place I've lived at so far!!
September 2, 2015Location is everything! The sand is a mile away. I have two small kids and the new park is super close and has amazing views. Within the apartment mostly everyone is very courteous of one another with noise levels. It's by no means a senior community where you have to be quite. We have bbqs on weekends and my kids play outside durning the day. Just walking up the path to our unit is so lovely and makes you take pride in where you live. Love the two stories and two bath. It is awesome to have a ...front and back yard. Pool is small but never crowed. Gym is a good size with decent equipment and is too never crowded . Laundry room is on site but cheaper then other places I've lived. Manager and maintenance guy are very kind and helpful. Some negatives are that some ppl don't like is that there isn't visitor parking but because space is limited its nice to not have all the parking taken up by visitors. There is parking on the next street over so for us it's no biggy and we have tons of visitors. Also the manager can issue a temp parking pass if you or your guests are lazy and can't walk a few 100 feet. No AC but most if not all rentals by the beach will be lacking. No washer dryer in unit At times you can hear neighbors just like any other wall sharing unit. Lastly if this place had three bedrooms I'd stay here for a very very long time. Great school system, great location and lovely communityRead MoreReview from Apartments.com
It's been a long and great time.
September 2, 2015I have lived at Sandpointe Cove for over 23 years. I raised my daughter here and she now has her own spacious one-bedroom at the back. I have been very happy living here. The buildings and property are well-kept and always tidy. Special features include a terrific mini market right across the street, a bus stop a few steps down the street, and we are within walking distance to the beach! The pool area is clean and always such a nice retreat. For anyone looking for a gym, we have it! A great ...place to workout ,looking over the pool. You couldn't ask for a more welcoming, safer, quieter, or cleaner place to live then Sandpointe Cove in Newport Beach, CA.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Love it!
September 2, 2015I can honestly say that I love living here. The complex is well maintained. The apartments themselves feel homey, not like a typical apartment. The townhomes have little backyards that are great for entertaining. For the most part, it's quite with the occasional noise of children running around (which doesn't bother us). It's a family friendly community. The location is prime. 5 minute bike ride to the beach and restaurants. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the laundry ...facilities. For the amount of units that are here, I wish there were more washers and dryers.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Downhill
August 14, 2015This complex is one of the best options for those looking to be near the Newport Beach bar scenes and beach, yet close enough to the main roads and freeway. It was one of the lowest priced townhome-style rentals, but as of this year, they charge for water, sewer, lawn maintenance, and garbage. This adds over 50 monthly, FYI. Not walking distance to anything, so you will have to bike/drive to the beach and other spots. The place is full of trees -- although pretty/romantic looking, they don't ...get cleaned or trimmed. The sun doesn't come through. The grass in the front of units can't grow. The wind doesn't pass, making summers very hot and humid (no A/Cs). When it rains, it floods. The complex doesn't have drains on walkways or parking lot. You'll have to get used to walking in standing water. The trees produce a TON of berries falling all over and getting stepped on, trekking inside and creating a huge mess, inside and out! Before, the maintenance person sweeps sections of the complex daily. Now: No More. Before, there wasn't a parking issue, because the manager kept things under control. Now, the complex is full of roommate situations, so there are too many cars. After the previous manager's death, the maintenance guy got moved to another location, replaced by a part-timer. New manager doesn't care who comes in. Downhill from there.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
