Strongly Recommend Avoiding
March 3, 2025Lived here for a year and left as soon as we were able. Large homeless camps often crop up in the parking lot across the street; the police will do nothing for months, if not years at a time. The homeless are aggressive and often make their way over to the building. The restaurant next door (Colony) contains dozens of operating kitchens which constantly release noxious fumes, which drift straight into the apartments. A taco man has begun setting up in front of the building from 4pm-1am, which ...would ordinarily be wonderful, though this taco man insists on blasting music at unreasonable levels for the entirety of his time there. For greater context, he's trying to drown out the sound of Santa Monica Blvd, and is unwilling to turn it down despite requests. This place wore our sanity down. Further, Wiseman was disreputable and overcharged us on our security deposit. They unjustly withhold an additional $500-$1500 on average from what I've gathered, making the sum too low for most of the tenants here to find a small claims case worth the while. The Wiseman rep for this property (Dee) ignored us for months at a time and never provided several requested invoices. Wiseman is a huge property owner in the city and will not bat an eye at leaving you in the lurch. The property is not worth the price to begin with and their extra tax as outlined here upon moveout skews the value proposition even further toward the negative.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
