Garbage
October 10, 2023Homeless people bathe, change and steal clothes in the laundry room (on camera). When brought to a worker’s attention, he responded “I know” while shaking his head. Drug dealers and gang youth frequent the staircases which wreak of drugs and urine. Homeless people also frequently urinate in the staircases. The leasing office is locked about as much as its open (during working hours). Whether You shout, bang or try opening the door, they play deaf which eventually leads to them playing dumb if ...You’re lucky enough to catch a worker coming in. And this is only if You’re fortunate enough to come across the lady that visibly doesn’t want to be working. If You come across one of the loud ones with attitude, bless Your soul. Work orders are typically responded to 50% of the time in general and about 25% of the time on the day You make the complaint. God forbid its an emergency on the weekend, a worker may or may not show up. If he does, he’ll be sure to remind You that they typically don’t work on the weekends. As I’m sure You’ve figured out, the complex is a completely overpriced joke. I now understand why so many tenants are withholding their rent. If theres one thing management is good for, its posting personal forms with the amount You owed on the outside of Your door. Oh and DO NOT have ANY packages mailed to Your residence. Thats just a no no. You will not receive it and nothing will be done about it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Horrible
August 23, 2023This place is one of the worst place the only try to get your money by lying to you. The gate are never lock and crackhead are always in the lobby or washroom or the washroom toilet. a next problem is that theft of you mail package are crazy and the management don't do noting to fix the problem.Review from Apartments.com
The absolute WORSE!
August 10, 2021They only get one star because leaving zero is not an option. There is no heat in the winter, and as of this review this is the 7th time in 2 weeks that we have had no running water. This is not residential, they are operating as if they are an air bnb for some of these apartments which is a safety hazard for the actual residents. If you're looking for affordability and safety, this is not the place. Look elsewhere!Review from Apartments.com
DO NOT MOVE HERE
March 15, 2021Absolute GARBAGE. Worst management/leasing experience that I have ever had in my life. If I could get it zero stars I would. I pay $300/month for a parking space. Of course the gate which leads to the parking lot is broken and has been since I moved in which means it’s a free-for-all. I’ve come in 6 times in the past month and somebody has been parked in my spot. From there, it’ll take upwards of 2 hours for you to get the car towed. Management blamed the delay in getting the gate fixed on ...Covid, which is of course a lazy lie. When I first moved in (July) there was scaffolding all around my building. It’s March of the next year and the scaffolding is still there and more has been added around the other building so pretty much the entire complex is covered in scaffolding. Ghetto. The washers/dryers never work. The building is riddled with bedbugs. Your packages will be stolen from the package room daily. They use such cheap materials for the apartments that the fake hardwood doors crack and separate. Good luck getting management to answer your email. During the winter time, good luck with getting your apt heated. It’s either freezing or set on “hell.” This has been the worst rental experience I have ever had and will do everything I can to make sure I get the word out about how terrible the living experience has been here. These apts aren’t fit for human occupancy, and any attempt to tell you otherwise is an outright lie.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Pretty nice
October 14, 2016I recently moved to Savoy Park. I was impressed with the urban-campus feel of the place, its large unit sizes (at a fair price) and convenience. Harlem is on the up-and-up and I am pretty excited to be a part of it.Review from Apartments.com
Residing at Savoy bld 60 Studio
August 2, 2016This complex has become my home after 6 years residence. I have no complaints. The residents have been warm and friendly and the staff at Savoy that I have dealt with have been professional and efficient. my studio is a great deal with utilities included and I have made my kitchen my home office. With stools and wall to wall bookcase. New security gates and on-site parking makes it especially attrractive for a professional who does the reverse commute. If you have children the complex is ...super kid friendly. Multiple playgrounds, and right across the street from the Armory with afterschool programs and Harlem tennis. Friends from the suburbs cannot believe they are in NYC. I do not want to be anywhere else.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Good value, bad management
October 12, 2015These Apts aren't too shabby but there are some bait and switch operations going on with the pre-leasing system here. I was shown a very nice apt and then moved into an older one with an ancient A/C that only goes down to 66 degrees and doesn't cool. My name hasn't been entered in the intercom system after 2 months, my first rent statement was incorrect, you can't get an additional key FOB without an additional occupant, and the maintenance people are very bad with communication. You'd think ...this was the government they're so inefficient.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

Studio Apartment in Savoy
September 2, 2015I have been living in savoy park for almost two years. The studios are nice because they are set up with a separate bathroom and closet area and the kitchens space is defined by a nice island with overhead hanging lights. The living space is large enough for me to divide it into a clear living room and bedroom. Since new management, there have been dramatic new positive changes to the complex. Savoy park is now a gated community that requires key fob entrance (visitors need to enter the resident ...code to gain access to the property and to the specific building). There are renovations and improvements all the time, both cosmetic and structural (updates on pipe work, repaving the sidewalks, etc.). If there is any work you need done from a paint job, to a clogged tub, maintenance is always available and it is pretty easy to schedule an appointment. The management office and overall effectiveness could use a little work. There are times when you need to call 10 times in a row before someone answers the phone. Repairs in the apartment seem to do the trick for the mean time but then require another maintenance call in a couple months to a year. Rent is typical to high city pricing but including all utilities, dishwasher in every apartment, a laundry room in every building and a gated community with its own security and close to the train make it worth it. In addition, if you visit their website at the end of the seasons, you can catch discounted apartments and move in under a one year deal (rent goes up an average of 100 after the year but it is still significantly less than the rent offered without the deal). All apartments are renovated before being put on the market and there are choices (prices vary) on tile vs. marble, updated kitchen with stainless steel and high floor apartments with stunning views. Overall, Savoy Park is a good experience and a good choice. Some glitches but that is to be expected when you're a renter. Would I renew my lease? Yes.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Stompin at the Savoy
September 2, 2015I have been a resident at Savoy Park for five years. In that time they have switched management /ownership companies and there have been several changes. Pros: Few places in the city that includes utilities (gas, hot water, electricity ) On site Laundry in every building open from 6a -11p Each apartment is newly renovated, which sometimes includes new appliances (dishwasher, microwave, fridge ) Gated community and on Site Security Close to public transportation (2 or 3 on the Red line and ...4, 5 on the Green line - w/ a quick walk over the bridge ) Cons: Intercom System in building has been only partially working correctly for almost 3 years New Gate System and Security are cumbersome and not properly enforced *anyone can still enter premises. Security doesn't do a great job of handling loitering and/or property infractions. There is a pest problem *bedbugs, roaches, rodents --though to be fair, they will pay for Exterminators but it is still extremely inconvenient. Booking Maintenance calls can be challenging. If you have a car street parking seems to be much more difficult and the property parking spots are $237 /- a month. Would i recommend them? Yes, but I would be very upfront about the limitations and challenges.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
STEPPING AT THE SAVOY
August 13, 2015LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY APARTMENT!!! I've got so much space for an NYC apartment and my gated community is quiet, clean, and convenient to EVERYTHING! The on-site staff is really helpful and my Super lives in my building. The property has on-site gated parking and the higher floor apartments have a great view of the East River. The complex is tree lined and it's a quick walk to the subway! Major retailers are just minutes away on 125th street and you're a 20 minute train ride from downtown ...Manhattan. The complex sits on the grounds of the Savoy Club; a happening place during the Harlem Renaissance. The common areas are serviced daily and there are clean and safe playgrounds for kids right on the grounds of the complex. I couldn't have asked for a better apartment in Harlem!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Great Management, Beautifully Renovated
August 11, 2015The renovated apartments are beautiful and the layouts are very spacious. I love living here, I just signed my lease to renew for another year. Management is very helpful, courteous, kind, and resolves issues quickly. The building is really conveniently located near the subway, and everything you need is just a short walk from the building!Review from Apartments.com
