Total NIGHTMARE
June 13, 2025BUILDING CODE VIOLATIONS! This company is renting crumbling buildings and then attempting repairs without obtaining the required permits. The entire staircase leading up to my unit was severed from the main building, which was right behind the wall where my bed was! I was scared for my life with hurricane season around the corner! Electrical outlets were popping bc the wiring was out of code. I had to take a shower at the gym frequently because the shower knob kept falling off. I assume the ...plumbing is also out of code. The front door to the apartment would not close completely and management outright refused to replace it because it "still works." The walls have holes and cracks that are "fixed" by just painting over them. Mountains of trash bags are constantly overflowing the dumpster and all over the streets. People constantly dump trash and leave pet waste literally everywhere. I did not get a chance to tour my unit before I signed and the office put me in front of a soccer field where people who don't live in the complex trespass and hang out until late at night, yelling and loitering. What's left of what used to be their grass is now scortched earth, dog poop and garbage mixed together (see pics). Random people that I did not recognize were banging on my door every night bc there is no security, gate or any safety measures whatsoever. You also have to pay your rent on shady third-party app. Front office staff was ultra-rude and dismissive once the lease was signed. Seven Lakes is exploiting low-income people by renting these ancient buildings that are decades out of code. Avoid this place at all costs!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Terrible
July 12, 2024We have been living in this community for a few years. I would recommend anyone moving here to think twice before making that decision. the most recent experience took place last night. Our AC unit was giving off sparks, which clearly is a fire hazard (mix sparks with this heat and bushes can lead to a fire). we called maintenance and they stated it was not an emergency. they came to fix it this morning but as you can see poorly done! Some of the maintenance guys spend more time helping one of ...the residents repair cars then doing their job. This doesn’t include the pool area always being packed with people that don’t live here. Terrible
September 15, 2022The leasing office is horrible, the size of the apartment for the price is completely absurd, the massive chunk of ceiling that caved in on my porch was covered with chicken wire almost a year ago and that's their "fix" to the problem, black mold is persistently growing back every time I clean it in the bathroom, the black mold in the closet was "fixed" by painting over it and now the paint is chipping off with a 10in circle on my ceiling now, I'm being charged extra every month for the "service ...fee" to pay my rent even though I'm already paying it and have sent proof, so now I have to send a photo of the receipt every month and have a battle with the office to hopefully take the charges off before my lease is up, the pool has chewed up pizza crusts on the ground, garbage wrappers floating in the pool, the front door has about a half inch gap between the door and floor so the air just flows out and the maintenance put a new strip in that did nothing because it's the actual door that's the problem.. honestly I could go on and on. I've been here since March of 2021 and have hated every second since the new management took over last year. I CANNOT wait to leave.Property Manager Responded

October 10, 2020We moved here a couple of days ago. We initially moved from another state and Swan Lake leasing office made this process so much smoother and less stressful! Our leasing agent Yolanda did an outstanding job accommodating us and our needs! Property looks great, pool area is very beautiful! Rats in the apartments
August 14, 2019This place earned zero stars so far. Be careful if you get an apartment here. I didn't know I would be sharing an apartment with rats and mice. They ruined my food and the property manager or whoever I talked didn't even care about the problem and my health. I told her about all she cared about was the money and was being rude to me when I talked to her. I was going to talk to her about it but she wasn't professional so I don't want to waste my time and shouldn't waste my time on people who don't ...want to listen. When I asked to her to remove them, they left me a mess in my apartment and moving my items around without my permission. So much for the right of quiet enjoyment and enjoying a peaceful place to live in. I ended losing sleep for the a couple of weeks. September 13, 2015This complex is well maintained, quiet and provide a family friendly atmosphere. It is in close proximity to shopping, dining out, public transportation, and a short drive to the beach. The staff are very helpful and friendly and provide a quick response to any inquiry. August 23, 2015It's a pretty standard apartment. There is nothing that stands out about it. The first problem I have is that the washing machines steal your money...about 1 out of every 4 loads steals your money or gets an error code and you are forced to rewash. The second issue I have is that before I signed the lease I was told that it would be an additional $60 to go month-to-month...now that its time to resign they want to charge $200 a month.
